Chapter 12

Chan's POV....

Running over to the crowd that formed around her as she laid unconscious on the lobby floor. Asking them to make room. Bending down and checking her vitals but what really worries me. Is that her pulse is a little slow. Maybe because of the shock I give her from showing up like this.

Picking her up and racing to the E.R. First explaining who I am and what's going on to the receptionist. She makes the call taking entirely too long. As minutes ticks away I think to myself, " I really didn't mean for this to happen but I couldn't wait any longer. "

9 months ago....

In the backyard of our home with my sister. We were sitting in  loungers watching the stars. Taking a swig of her beer my sister Nanmon asked " Whatever happened to that girl you liked back in the States. " I was shocked that she would bring her up. After I tried so hard to forget that night and her. " I don't know," I answered taking a sip of beer.

" Really? But you can always look her up on social media, " she told me.

" Why would I do that for, I mean she's probably already married with kids for all I know, " I told her wishing she would leave this subject alone.

" Aw come on what harm could it be, It's not stalking just looking okay, " she said slapping me on the shoulder.

" Please stop it! Let's just drop this okay, " I said.

" Come on just this one time, " she begged pulling out a tablet from her bag on the ground on the other side of her lounger. " What's her name again? " she asked.

Feeling like her pestering me was never gonna end. I just told her to shut her up, " It's Sierra Jones and when you check it, I don't want to hear anymore about her got it, " I said pointing my finger in her face.

Typing in her name and searching for the right one my sister shouted , " I found her ! "  with a smile on her face showing me her profile page. I must say she's still looking good as ever. Scrolling down I see her relationship stat is single which brings a smile to my face.

Looking at me Nanmon playfully says, " Ooooo I think you're not over her as you state. So I'll just send a friend request, " doing so and immediately getting up cause she knew I was pissed.

" Get your ass back here ! And how did you even get into my account! " I yelled running after her.

Coming back to reality and hearing the receptionist saying , " Dr. Bowsuwan you can take her back now. "

I give her a tight smile then basically running into the E.R. When another doctor and nurse joined me asking questions as we search for an empty room.

Lying her down gently on the hospital bed the nurse began checking her vitals.

" Explain to me what happened, " the doctor asked.

I really couldn't have him finding out that I was the cause. Thinking of a way to explain, I search his face and seeing there's no indication that he's on to me.

Looking down at his hospital badge, reading his name " Well Dr. Evans, she was already lying on the floor unconscious when I walked into the lobby. And I rushed over to help.

Taking it all in and finally he said ," Okay, I think we should start with placing an I.V. and starting her on some fluids, " he said noticing her badge then saying, " I see she works here I'll inform her supervisor of this, " before walking away.

" Excuse me nurse could you set up an EKG, " I told her while taking a seat wiping the sweat from my brow.

" Okay, Dr. Bowsuwan I will soon as am finished with this, " the nurse said placing the last strip of tape to secure the IV in place.

An hour later.....

After various tests that all came back normal besides having a fever and dehydration. So I had her admitted for overnight observation.

Watching her as she lay peacefully in bed. I start to think of what went on these past 9 months.

I couldn't believe that she accepted my friend request. It only took a little over a week for her to respond though. At first I was only gonna check on her from time to time. But I couldn't resist the urge to message her and see if she would answer back.

After a week of debating with myself whether or not I should. I went on ahead and sent a message that read.

" Hi how are you doing today ? "

Which was dumb as hell cause I just got finish reading her post saying she was having a great day today.

Within minutes she messaged back," Who is this ? "

So I explained to her in so many words about myself not giving too much away. I really shouldn't be doing this but I just couldn't stop. Getting to know her was everything to me. She even convinced me to take up working as a volunteer doctor for rural areas of Thailand.

She would comment on pics I've posted. She made me feel like I could really make a difference in those people lives. Everything was good until I saw some uploads she was tagged in. It had me so focused on the screen of my laptop.

" She has a daughter, " I was so shocked but what really got me furious is what was written above the post.

" My cousin Sierra and 4 1/2 year old Aya making a mess "! 😜😁

It was of her and a little girl grinning. The little girl smiling with cake all over her mouth and hands. But what really threw me was her features which kinda looked like my sister's at that age and of me too. Upset now I flipped my laptop sending it crashing to the floor.

Hearing a machine going off and looking over towards the bed. Seeing that she's awake but what got me was the look of fear in her eyes.

Visibly shaken while staring at me, " Get out.. " she said barely above a whisper.

Blinking , I stare for a moment before she screamed,  " Get out ! Get out now ! " Just then an older woman walked in holding a child, my child in her arms. I watched them for moment before nodding and giving a smile before leaving the room.

Well another chapter's finished 😄

I actually took a really long time deciding on who was gonna be Chan am happy with my choice or you guys ?
