*Alex's POV*
After i had visited Mike, I decided to go on a walk. I had to think.
"Sir, are you fine?" A man walked up to me as he had concern on his face, glancing at my knees. I felt weak for a minute. I felt like I was about to throw up. I couldn't concentrate on him. I could hear what he was saying but everything was blurry. I couldn't breathe. Suddenly, I felt my body twitch and before I knew it, my eyes shut and I fell, but I was caught by someone. I could hear voices.
"Help! Please help! Get this boy t-" I tried opened my eyes but I couldn't. It was like someone was forcing me to get them shut. I couldn't speak, my throat was all dried up. I was so weak. Am i dead? Is this how I die?
"You will be okay, boy. Just don't loose on yoursel-"
Everything went black.

"His knee looks very fractured. We are still not sure how much it will take for his knee to properly adjust itself. But we hope it will be soon." I heard.
I can hear.
I'm not dead.
"Thank you." The voice was very familiar. Who could this be?
"Alex?" I heard the girl say. I tried to speak, opening my mouth, but nothing came out. The girl sitting next to me sighed. I couldn't see anything, as my eyes were shut, and I wonder who that person is. She sounds very familiar but I can't put my finger on it.
"Alex." She was crying.
Crying.
"It's me, Becky-" I knew she sounded familiar, "-and- oh, my God." She hiccuped as she started to sob. Was she crying because of me? "How fucking stupid could you be? Are you really that fucking dumb?! You got your fucking knee burnt, you dick!"
I took a deep breath, very slowly. I turned my head towards her direction, my eyes still closed.
"Becky..." I croaked and I heard her gasp. The sound of chair being pushed away was heard then followed by loud footsteps, and her loud yells about me speaking. I could hear two more footsteps and then felt a cold touch on my cheek.
"W-" I tried to speak but the doctor interrupted me. That bitch.
"He needs water. Susan, please bring Caylen some water. He's trying to speak." The doctor spoke and I furrowed my eyebrows, feeling pain on my knee.
"Does your knee hurt?" The doctor asked. No, you know. My fucking knee is perfect even though I burnt it. I weakly nodded my head and I could hear more footsteps. How many fucking people are there?
"Here, drink this, Alex." I heard another female voice and I felt my chin held as I felt liquid run down my throat. The soothing feeling made me feel better.
"T-thank-" I coughed out and I felt the cup being set down next to me. I tried opening my eyes, but it was no use.
"Don't freak out about not being able to open your eyes, alright? We had given a drug to you, and you will wake up shortly. We were surprised you woke up so early. You weren't meant to wake up for an hour. You're strong, Alex." Hearing the last words from the doctor made me feel happy inside. I'm strong.
"You will be able to open your eyes, Alex." I heard Becky weakly say as she sniffled and that made me more happy. She cared enough to come here. She knew I was in danger and came here. She knew I was here. She cared enough to leave her house and come here. God knows when and how she came here. I hope she didn't stay up all night waiting for me to wake up.
"Caylen, you deserve to know this." Another doctor spoke up, this time a male. I heard the sound of pen being written down on a notepad. "You were out for two days. And that's normally okay. Dr. Smith had given you a drug which sends you into a deep sleep to regain your energy and thus, helps your knee to repair itself. As you maybe have been informed, you will be able to open your eyes. Get some rest, yeah?" I felt a slight, and gentle pat on my shoulder, making me feel warm. "Just so you know, your vision will be a little blurry when you get to open your eyes. Just don't freak out about that, too. Becky told me you freak out on small things like that. So don't worry, boy." I soon heard footsteps fading away and door closing.
"Alexander." Becky spoke. "How are you? I miss you.. I'm not always the type of person to say this and I feel so dumb saying this but I hope you get better. And.. um- I hope everything goes well with you and Mike."
I let out a throaty laugh, "you son of a bitch."
I opened my eyes, a huge grin on my face. The doctor was right, my vision was blurry but I could see the tears on Becky's face.
"You son of a bitch." i repeated and she broke into a smile, giggling. She stood up and walked over to me, kissing my cheek before hugging me tightly.
"You son of a bitch." I chuckled and lazily wrapped my arms around her torso, pulling her closer to me. "God. Life's messed up."
"I know," she sniffled and breaks the hug, smiling as she sat down on her seat. I frowned once seeing her stained tears, the bags under her eyes and how tired she looked. She frowned too once seeing my smile dropping.
"What is it? Are you okay?" She looked worried.
"Yeah." I blinked, "I have to ask that question to you. Are you okay? Bullshit. You're not. There's bags under your eyes. You've been crying for god knows how long. Go home. Take care of yourself. Don't stay here anymore. I'm awake and I'm alive. Go home, please."
"Alex..." She smiled, "your caring makes me want to cry more. Alright, I'll go. Take care of yourself too." She kissed my cheek and I watched her blurry figure leaving the room.
I was alone.
So was Mike, wherever he was.
