*Alex's POV*

I sighed.

"Alright, class. Let me see what you have done." The voice made me shiver as I brought my head up, confused. I wasn't told we had to do something. I gulped as the teacher walked around, her heads leaned down a tiny bit and eyes glistening as she had a red pen in her wrinkly fingers. She licked her chapped lips.

"Psst." I heard someone hiss behind me. I turned around to see Natalie, a girl in my class. She smirked at me, "did you do the exercise she told us to do?"
I shook my head as a reply and turned back in my seat, eyes widened as I started at the notebook in front of me and hoping the class ditched.

"Alex?" I heard the teacher call as she stood beside me, her body close to me, making me feel uncomfortable as I glanced at her. "Did you-"

The bell rang. The teacher huffed, closing her eyes and straightening her back. I huffed, and glided down the seat and started to pack up. Students left the class, laughing and talking as I took my phone out to see that I got a text from Mike.

Ugh.. I'm bored. English sucks. What's up with you?

I scoffed, typing a quick reply, saying that I'm going to lunch and shoved my phone down my bag. I huffed out a relief once I went out to the fresh air and closed my eyes, my hair flowing. I opened my eyes and observed my surrounding, trying to look for a place to sit. My eyes caught at the empty space in the corner, a tree beside it. I made my way over to the tree, and slouched down.

"Hey, there." I heard someone speak. I looked up to see Natalie, again. She had that infamous smirk again, and I wish I could slap her face.

"Can you leave?" I sighed and she sat next to me, giggling as she covered her mouth. I rolled my eyes, turning my head to look at the other way to avoid any eye contact.

"Why? Don't want to see my pretty face?" She giggled again and I clenched my fist, trying to retrain my anger. I can't just punch a girl. That's wrong. But it's impossible to not punch like a girl like her.

"Please, I need some personal space." I said, noticing her close she was to me, "could you leave?"

"Personal space?" She laughed, throwing her head back as her shoulders shook, "I am the space."

"Wow." I mumbled under my breath, rolling my eyes again. Sucking a deep breath, I stood up and took my bag, "if you're not going to leave, I will." And I jogged away, trying not to punch something or someone. Damn, that girl really goes in my nerves. Even the smallest things makes me angry. Like that person whose eating ice cream. Why should that anger me? I don't even know myself.

"Alex!" I heard Mike's voice and I smiled, turning around to face him. He waved, and walked towards me with books under his arms. I pecked his cheek, and he pushed me away, frowning, "not in public, Alex."

"Oh, who cares?" I smirked and put an arm around his shoulder, "saw your text about how bored you were." I chuckled and he rolled his eyes as we started to walk in the school hallways.

"You can't imagine how boring it was!" He groaned, running a hand down his face, "like, oh my god. It was so boring."

"I understood." I laughed and he lightly punching me on the chest, and I laughed harder.

"Stop laughing so loud, people are looking." He mumbled and dropped his head down, blushing. I chuckled quietly and pinched his cheeks, making him blush harder and push my arm around his shoulder away from him.

"You're such a jerk." He mumbled.

"But that's why you love me!" I called out. He smiled, rolling his eyes. "True that." I put my arm around his shoulder again.

"Oh, gay couples." I heard someone whisper and I shot a death glance at the people. Their eyes widened as they noticed me staring at them and I walked towards them, Mike pulling my arm and trying to stop me.

"What's so wrong about that?" I spat. They gulped, obviously scared. "Alex, don't. Let it go." Mike whispered, and tried to pull my arm harder, but it was no use.

"Tell me," I raised my voice at the students, "what is so wrong about gay couples? Are they a crime?"

"N-no, it's just-" one of them spoke up, stuttering and gulped. I scoffed, "that's what I thought. Never say useless things around us, alright?"

Nodding their heads, they scurried away. I rolled my eyes and Mike sighed, shaking his head. "You need to learn how to not get angry."

"Well, what can I do?" I shrugged my shoulders. "They deserved it."

"True." He mumbled and I smirked.

"Hey, Mike." I spoke and looked at his eyes. He hummed, waiting for me to continue. "If anyone ever-"

"Yeah, yeah." He shook his hand, "whenever hurts me in any way, I shall tell you. I know, I know, gosh. Stop worrying about me so much."

"Sorry, it's just-" I looked away, and squinted my eyes, "I don't want to get you hurt."

"Aw, how sweet." I heard him laugh and I rolled my eyes, grabbing his hand softly. "Go to class, you pork." I smirked.

"Pork?" Mike snorted, "wow. I feel so offended. Do I look like a fucking pork?" He clutched his heart.

"Well, in my eyes, you do." I grinned, "and that's what makes you special."

"Oh, shut up!" He laughed.
