Chapter 28

MIKE'S POV

The week passed very quickly actually which was very unusual because that's school. I was excited cuz Alex birthday was on Saturday eka tomorrow. I brought my present for him long time ago, it was a red and white t-shirt but that wasn't my only gift for him. I wanted to give him thousands things but that would be inappropriate and make him uncomfortable. I had planned everything. He didn't talk about his birthday and I hope he won't find out about my plan.

"You want me to what?" - Emily asked as we were standing next to my locker talking. She was with a ponytail today that she had put flowers in, sometimes i want to be a girl too.
"You should take him somewhere, just for a hour"
"Aren't you at work then?"
"I don't work at the weekends. Thanks God. So will you do this for me? " - I looked her with puppy eyes and she just gave up. We planned that she'll take him to go shopping together for hats, very good plan right? I'll give him my present in the morning and then she'll call that she doesn't have any hats to wear and they should go to buy some. I don't think he'll find out but the thing with hats is pretty lame haha.

The next morning

I woke up earlier than him and carefully got out of the bed and made my way to to our kitchen. I made coffee and waffles with chocolate on them. They turned out good and I didn't make so much noise doing them so I happily took them with the coffe and stood right in front of the bedroom door. I took a deep breath rrying to not split up the coffee and opened the door. I looked at the bed but he wasn't there. Where did he go? There isn't other door in the room. I started panic and randomly looked at my left and suddenly he just came and kissed me trying to not split the coffee. I was shocked at first but then I felt calm and just enjoyed the kiss.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!" - I shouted at him still concentrating at the coffe. I put the food on the drawer and jumped on him like an actual cat and he just fall down on the bed together with me. We started laughing and he hugged me really hard, I didnt know he was that strong at all. He kissed my forehead and I giggled.
"You made waffles? I love them!"
"Let eat them then?"
"Yeah!!"

After we finished the waffles and our entire faces were in chocolate, we went downstairs and watched cartoons on the TV. I was so happy and Alex looked like he's having a good time too. His phone rang.
"Hello?" - he said picking up the phone -"Hats?! Alright?"
That was Emily and I had to pretend I don't know nothing.
"What happened?" - I asked trying not to laugh.
"Emily told me that we should go shopping for hats...I didn't understand the rest"- he said slowly cuz he was still half asleep. He gave me a weird look.
"Maybe it's important" - I said taking his hand playing with it. To be honest I would stay like that forever. Next to him. Just laying on the couch, laughing at shows that are for 5 years old. I don't care and the thing was that he didn't care too.
"Okay then, if it's important Im the guy" - he said sarcastically as he was getting out of my hug. He went upstairs to change. Everything was on plan.

"Bye Mikey!"
"Bye Alexandra!"
"Shut the fuck up"

I watched Alex's car leaving our street from the window and I looked at my phone to see the time. It was 4 pm which was just perfect. I quickly got out of the house running and went to the shop and then to other places.

Hour and a half later I was at hime ready with all the surprises and I nust sat down for a second to take a breath. I heard his car parking and I got up getting closer to the door.
"I'm home!" - He shouted and I stood up exactly in front of his smiling.
"What?"- he laughed trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing. I was just standing there looking at him trying not to fade cuz he was just so perfect. And mine.
"Are we gonna just stay like that forever or...?"
"Okay. Follow me to he living room"
He laughed again and I turned back followed by him.

We walked in and the whole living room was with the lights out, only the little lamps were on. I had brough a red balloons with helium on them and they were everywhere. I lost some of them in the way home but..that's not important, is it? There were some rose petals on the ground and on the table where the food was too. I got one rose out from my back and gave it to him and I started singing "Yellow" by Coldplay :

Look at the stars,

Yeah, they were all yellow.

I came along,
I wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,
And it was called "Yellow"...

In the end he kissed me and I just squished his cheecks and started laughing. He started crying and I hugged him again not really knowing what to do.
"Thank you"
"Um...welcome?"
We both started laughing and just stayed under the doors frame looking at each other. I suddenly realized I didn't give him his present I had to given him in the morning. The bag with it was in the couch and I got it and gave it to him so excited for him to see. He opened it still smiling and saw the t-shirt.
"I really like it!" - he said still looking at it.
"You sure? Cuz I can return it if you..."
" I said I like it, thanks!"
"Oh, okay then. And the best thung about it is that I can steal it from time to time."
"Of course" - Alex rolled up his eyes and kissed my cheeck.
