*Alex's POV*
"Lately you have been distracting students from their work by talking to them, getting a lot of detentions, and I think it's time to call your parents about this so they could confront this to you." The director, Mr. Hoppinks, had said. I sighed and slid down in my chair, looking away. I watched as he reached his arm to pick up the phone. I looked down. I never expected him to call my parents.
"Hello, Mrs. Caylen." He smiled at me. Can I punch him in the face, please? His lips moved as he talked to my mom, him smiling at me, probably to make me angry and annoyed. I huffed.
"Yes, thank you. Goodbye." He set the phone down and faced me, "she sounded angry."
"Of course she's going to sound angry!" I laughed. He looked at me sternly, making me shut up immediately. I was free to go. I stood up, grabbing my backpack from the floor, and scurried out. I didn't want to be there any longer, it made me feel so uncomfortable. This is going to sound surprising, but that was one of my first times ever going to the director.
My next destination was to go and see if Mike was alright. He had got beaten up yesterday and I need to go and see if he was alright. I jogged to the doctor, thinking he's there. I knocked on the door, waiting for someone to open it. A lady with white clothing had opened it, smiling brightly at me. I smiled back. "Is Mike Jerry here, somewhere?"
"Yes, he is right here, he was about to leave. I'll call him now." She told me to wait and I thanked her. I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for Mike to come out. The door opened and I swung my head, smiling when I noticed it was Mike walking over to me.
"Mike!" I called and he looked up from the floor, smiling when noticing it was me. "How are you? Did you get hurt too badly? Oh my God, you have a bruise-"
"Alex." He laughed and pushed my hands away from his face, "I'm fine. I'm so sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?" I asked, frowning. He sighed and looked down, "it was my fault that you went to the director."
"It's alright, I'm used to going there. I used to go to the office in my old school, so it's no big deal. The important thing is that you're okay." I smiled. He nodded his head, shuffling his feet.
"Want a ride home, yeah?" I asked and he looked up, blushing.
"I don't want to be a bother." He mumbled. I shook my head, telling him to follow me, and he did. I was debating on holding his hand or not, but I didn't. I really wanted to, but that would be too creepy and weird, so I shoved my hands inside my pockets.
"Thank you, Alex. For saving me back there and giving me a ride home. No one would ever do this to me." He smiled. I felt bad. Why would anyone hurt him?
"It's alright, don't thank me. It's my job to make sure you're alright." I opened the door for him and he blushed, getting in. I smiled at the way he blushed, he just looked so cute. I jogged to the other side of the car and sat down, starting it. I pulled out of the driveway and listened to Mike as he told me the directions of his house.
"Your drawings." I spoke up after a minute of silence, "is it really badly torn up?" I glanced at him, noticing him frown.
"Yeah. I used all my efforts in it and this is what I get? I was so mad, still am."
"I'm sorry." I sighed, "but you could always glue them together."
"It's impossible."
"Or-" I suddenly had a good idea, "scan it and print it out. Like, put the pieces together and print it out. It will be like a new drawing."
