Looking up from my homework, I saw his gorgeous smile and his soft, messy, dark brown hair, with his bangs just reaching the top of his piercing brown eyes. "Hey," he called to me. I immediately blushed, but continued to stare as he casually walked over to me.
Suddenly my phone buzzed furiously and I snapped out of my daydream. Leave it to my best friend Stacy to ruin my procrastination of homework. I quickly swiped the screen and put the phone to my ear.
"KATIE!" she screamed.I was tempted to throw the phone away from me as she continued shouting, "GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT?"
"Chicken butt," I muttered.
Ignoring my reply, she yelled, "HE ASKED ME AND I SAID YES!!"
"OMG YAY!" I screamed enthusiastically with her. Shortly after we hung up, I paused the YouTube video that was playing quietly in the background and sighed. When will I ever get a guy?
