Chapter 7

"Um..." I looked into his wide pleading eyes. Well, it wasn't like he was a bad guy. In fact, he was kinda hot and also super nice and understanding. And well... Those eyes are definitely the second most gorgeous I've ever seen. I blinked hard to try to forget about who the first guy was.

"Yes." I whispered. Logan's smile grew and he took my hand as we continued walking again.

We walked in silence as we enjoyed each other's company for a while before the bell rang. Logan gave me a peck on my cheek.

"I'll see you after school." He whispered to me. Then, he turned around and headed off campus. I blushed and I touched my now-extremely-warm face. Oh. My. Gosh. I now had a boyfriend.

On my way to class, I glanced at Nate talking to his friends just as he turned to spot me. Crap. I quickly looked the other way and casually walked by him.

"Hey Katie!" Nate called out. He jogged up to catch up to me and began walking alongside me. "So... I was thinking... Do you want to catch a movie sometime? Or we could finish up that study session. Or we could sing together? You know those covers. Or um. We could go to the park again. But you know, not if you don't want to. We could go to the movies instead or wherever you want to go." He smiled nervously at me after rambling for the past minute. Was he asking me out? OH CRAP. WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING TODAY? First Logan and now Nate. If I had known Nate was going to ask me, would I have accepted Logan's? Do I still even like Nate?

Nate looked at me expectantly with his amazing eyes. And that gorgeous hair that I just wanted to touch just to see how soft it actually was. I gazed into his eyes without breaking contact. We stayed like that for a minute before the bell rang.

"So is that a yes?" He said quietly. Oh my goodness. Crap crap crap. This can not be happening.

"Um, I already have a boyfriend..."

Nate's smile instantly disappeared. Without hesitation, he quickly turned around and left for class. As he walked away I heard him mumbling and could only make out the words "boyfriend" and "Logan." Wait. Logan??!

"Wait up!" I yelled as I ran to him. "Did you say something about-"

"Get to class!" A teacher yelled, seeing us two the only ones left in the empty hallway. I quickly grabbed a pen sticking out from Nate's jean pocket and scribbled my number on his arm. "We need to talk." Then I gave him back his pen and glanced at his surprised face. Laughing at his facial expression, I ran to class.

After school Logan met me at my locker, and I was really surprised. I mean, I never even showed him my locker before. How did he know where it was?!

"Um, hey Logan." I smiled at him and tried not to be creeped out. "How did you know where my locker was?"

He smirked at me and hugged me loosely. "I was informed by a friend of mine."

I looked at him with a puzzled look. How many friends does he have at this school? And how many of his friends would even know me? Pushing the thoughts out if my mind, I smiled at Logan. It was my first day dating him, and I didn't want a fight. Besides, I'd probably find out soon enough.

After grabbing my books from my locker, I walked down the hallway with Logan holding my hand, like he did at lunch.

"I want to ask you..." I began as I buckled in my seatbelt in his car. We were sitting in his sleek car, waiting for the traffic behind us to move.

"Hm?" He raised one eyebrow and looked at me from the driver's seat.

"Why did you ask me out? I mean. I'm nothing special, and I'm not gorgeous like my friend Stacy, and I'm not smart and I say stupid things all the time, and whenever I get worried I freak out and I have a panic attack and then you just pop out of nowhere and I don't even understand how of why or when. And seriously I'm like a terrible person who is so ugly and everything." After confessing my thoughts I glanced at him nervously. I can't believe I even said all that.
