Chapter Thirty-four

"What's on your neck?" Kyra asked.

"You can see it?"

'Everyone can see ME now.'

I cringed, now he decides to talk.

"Eve, you have a tattoo that reaches your jaw, of course I can see it."

I sighed, "I have a lot I need to tell you."

She nodded, slightly annoyed, "yea, you do. Thanks for running off after Starla disappeared. And also, who the hell were those people? Why can I not remember everything?!"

"Shhhh!" I stepped forward, "we need to speak in private."

She rolled her eyes. "Right."

After a long second she moved to the side to let me in her boyfriends house. He was there too, sitting on the couch and looking over at us curiously. When he saw me he looked at Kyra with a raised eyebrow.

"We are going to go upstairs and talk," she told him.

He nodded, "just yell if you need anything."

In other words, scream if Eve is trying to kill you.

I followed her up stairs, she was walking slowly. I know Kyra and she really doesn't want to have this conversation with me. But I need help and no matter what, she's still my best friend. I will always go to my best friend first when I need help.

The room she brought me to was an office type room and she sat down in the only available chair then crossed her arms over her chest. "Well?"

"Okay," I took a deep breath. "You're not going to believe me but I am telling all of this because I still believe you are my best friend and you need to hear all of this because I can't handle it anymore. I promise to prove it all to you after I explain it. Okay?"

"You're freaking me out."

'Stop freaking her out.'

I clenched my teeth and rolled up my sleeve, "this is a dragon."

Her eyes were wide, "why the hell would you get a dragon tattoo Eve!?"

"I didn't-!" I started really loudly and stopped myself. Speak quieter Eve. "It wasn't my choice."

"Are you telling me you got drunk? Or kidnapped?"

I laughed lightly, "no that would have been way better. It kind of just appeared."

Kyra raised an eyebrow. "Are you on drugs?"

I rolled my eyes, "no its magic! Magic is real and I hate it!"

She stared at me with a blank expression on her face.

"I'm being completely serious Kyra."

"Is that where you transferred schools to? Hogwarts?"

I clenched my teeth again. "No I transferred to Rogorna."

"That's a school name?" She seemed very doubtful.

I nodded, "its on Adomus."

"On?"

I was losing her, she wasn't believing me at all.

'Ya think?'

"Shut up," I whispered.

"Excuse me?"

"No," I shook my head, "not you Kyra. The dragon."

"Eve, I think you need to see a doctor."

I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath, "listen. I'm a wizard, okay? A Dragon Wizard which is apparently a huge deal. I'm the only one too. I'm the only one who exists right now and no one knows what to do with me. The Dark Elves are coming back too, Starla was one. She tried to use you before I stopped her but then she escaped and I don't know what to do."

"Everyone is counting on me and I've only just learned how to even use my powers. A guy named Wallace Henry taught me in the Dream World - yes its a thing. And I need to go find him but I can hardly keep up anymore with everything. My dragon started talking to me today too and I'm freaking out because he moves on my arm! Kyra I'm literally losing my mind right now!"

Kyra was just staring at me with an open mouth, not saying anything while I went on my crazy rant. I just felt like I was getting crazier by the second.

"I know I sound crazy," I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. "But I promise I can prove it."

"Okay..." She said slowly. "Magic, right."

I held out my hand towards her but she hesitated. "Please Kyra." That's all it took. She may think I'm crazy but because she's my best friend she'll play alone until I prove myself wrong. Too bad I'm not wrong this time.

"Space is crazy," I said after she put her hand in mine. I made the room disappear and turn black. Stars appeared all around us and Kyra was frozen staring at my face. Probably trying to pretend that this wasn't happening.

"Adomus is over there," I pointed to the planet in the distance. "And Earth is over there," I pointed to the milky way galaxy. "Most nights when its clear at school we can see the milky way in the sky and its pretty cool."

The scene changed, we were standing in front of my school. Not really though, it was just a projection. "This is Rogorna, so many different magical creatures go to school here. Wizards, Warriors, Fairies."

I put us back into the office room and Kyra let go of my hand. She looked down to the dragon on my arm, I looked at him too. He was looking at Kyra but then he turned his head to look at me. Kyra sat back down in the chair.

"Eve," she was out of breath as if she had just run a marathon. "What is happening?"

"I don't know Kyra, I just needed to tell you."

She nodded, if this happened to her she'd probably want to tell me too.

"What are you going to do?"

I ran my hands through my hair, "find the one person who can teach me, I think."

"You should do it," she said with determination. "Find that guy and learn everything you can Eve. Kick ass too, be the most awesome wizard to have ever lived."

I chuckled, "I an try but it's going to be pretty difficult. There are a lot of great wizards out there."

"You've got this Eve."
