Paula's submission
I'm beyond grateful to all the Carmilla cast for giving us this amazing series full of drama, mystery, and sometimes comedy, but most of all for the lovely community on the Internet, or as we like to call ourselves, "Creampuffs".
Which, I would say, is definitely a very loyal and supportive fanbase, not only for the love of the show, but also for the themes surrounding it, as the acceptance/normalization of the LGBTQ diversity, the presence of strong female characters, the amazing development in relationSHIPS (lesbihonest) and for this little safe space where we can be who we truly are without being judged.
Well, at least for me, this little web series made me realize that I'm definitely attracted to girls too and that there's nothing wrong about it, because if you compare it to the real world, you realize that there are much worse things to be (homophobic, for example)
But anyway, moving on to other things. I'll always love the pop culture/nerdy references that mostly Laura makes through the entire series, such as "Holy Hufflepuff", "what in the name of Skrillex is that?", or most recently Carmilla referring to LaF as "young Holtzmann" and many others. GREAT WORK CARMILLA WRITERS BY THE WAY.
Okay, I just got a lil' bit excited writing all of this, but I'll try to sum it up cause I have, literally, too many things to say, but that would require a HUGE amount of time, so the right words that'll put together everything I have in my head are:
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EXISTING AND ILL ALWAYS LOVE WHAT YOU ALL CREATED DURING THESE TWO YEARS
And I hope every single one of you gets the recognition you deserve with bigger audiences, keep working hard and inspiring other people to be themselves. I'll probably never get the chance to meet any of you cause I'm from Mexico, so this is the nearest way I have to communicate (also Twitter/Instagram)
But okay, that's all folks, thanks for reading this if you made it all the way through. Thanks Elise, Natasha, Kaitlyn, Annie, Sharon, Nicole, Matt, Aaron, Sophia, and everyone involved in this project.
