When i found out i wasn't as straight as i thought i was, i was thrown into the biggest soul-search i've ever done. I didn't realize how important it was for the queer community to see their selves reflected on the screen. Seeing the reflection grounds you in your feelings. It validates you. Makes you feel not so alone. Seeing the love between two girls helped me realize my feelings. I don't know how long it would've taken for me to be okay with myself, but since Carmilla exists, I don't have to wonder. THANK YOU EVERYBODY WHO WORKED ON CARMILLA!
