3rd Person POV
Natsu and Lucy were walking around in the dark forest. Every thing was quiet, and they weren't talking.
They suddenly heard a faint voice singing a slow and soft song. As they got closer they could clearly hear the words.
A drop in the ocean,
A change in the weather,
I was praying that you and me might end up together,
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert,
But I'm holding you closer than most,
Cause you are my heaven. They approached the voice. They now stood behind a little girl with blue pigtails. Natsu and Lucy took a quick glance at each other and nodded. Lucy reached a shaky hand out and tapped the girl's shoulder, but when she turned around, her eyes were gone.
They looked like they had been brutally scraped out, and blood still streamed reaching her soft pink lips.
The girl laughed maniacally as Lucy and Nastu shrieked back in surprise."Wendy?" Lucy questioned, but the girl just smiled with a bloody grin. Lucy bit back the tears and smiled at Wendy.
That's when Lucy did the unexpected, she leaped towards the young mage and began sobbing. She wrapped her arms around the blunette and hugged her tightly. "Even if this is an illusion, I just want to tell you- I'm sorry! I love you, we were friends. I'd never hurt you." Wendy's arms remained by her side. "Lucy," Wendy whispered in her ear. "This is your fate, if you come near me...this is how I'll end up." With that the blue haired girl vanished, leaving a concerned Lucy.
Lucy fell to the floor sobbing her eyes out, she did not want that fate. She wanted to be around people and have friends, but her fate forbid it.
Natsu crouched beside her. "Luce, don't cry." Lucy looked up with tears flooding her cheeks. "I wouldn't come near me, I've always been bad luck." Natsu looked at her pained and shrugged. "Lucy, am I a liar?" Natsu asked out of the blue. Lucy looked up at him, confused by his choice in words.
"No?" She said unsure. "Then why won't you believe me when I tell you you're an awesome person? You always look to someone to believe in, but you can't accomplish anything without believing in yourself." Lucy cried harder. "I don't understand! Why!- why did I have to end up with this kind of fate?! Natsu, you're my everything! I can't risk you being around me right now! I'm sorry! It's just- it's just too risky!" Natsu leaped forward and pinned her to the ground. Her hair entangled into the soft grass. "Lucy! I told you! There's no way in hell I'm leaving you! Look at you! Your hurt and confused, what kind of friend would I be if I left you?" She cupped his cheek crying. "A good friend, a best friend. Natsu, you know I'm right. This is something I have to do myself. It's my fate." Natsu opened his mouth to object, but found nothing to say.
"Have a little faith in me." She whispered. Natsu lifted her from the ground and buried his head into her chest, taking in her scent. "Lucy...please don't go." Lucy kissed his cheek. "Goodbye for now." She said standing up and walking off. Natsu sat there, not believing his own ears. "Lucy!" He screamed, but she kept walking. Natsu stood up and ran after her. Lucy stopped and turned to face him. "Natsu..." He ran to her and tackled her. Her eyes widened. "Natsu?" He hovered over her face with blush on his cheeks. "Come back alive ok? Don't forget I'm still saving your seat." Tears rolled down both of their cheeks in sync with one another. "Hey Natsu?" He turned his face to meet her's. "Yeah?" He said tickling her face with his breath. "Don't come looking for me when I'm gone, trust me. I'll come back." Natsu went in for the kiss. He kissed her hard, her lips were so sweet and soft. And his were so luscious and smooth.
They stared at each other, in silence with only the crickets making background music. "You're so beautiful." He whispered. "And I can't believe it's taken me this long to notice." Her blush lit on her face and she turned it to the side, grass tickling her nose. He got off of her and they hugged one last time.
"When I return I'll have a little blue haired girl accompanying me." He nodded. "I'd expect nothing less." He said quietly. They parted ways, but only in hopes to cross paths again. All in due time, all in due time.
