A/N: Hey guys.
This is my new poem I wrote recently after watching "Victoria." It is the new TV show on ITV. The show is about Queen Victoria and her reign. The show really captures the conditions of the country when Poverty was at its peak. The Prime Minister of that time Lord Melbourne was running the country beside his Queen.
Lord Melbourne ignored everything around him, the poor people did not matter to him. How people lived, it did not matter. How can conditions change if you don't do anything?
Well Prince Albert had a good idea, he made a system of allowing 2 families to live in one house (Two houses connected together) so then they could have a kitchen, bathroom, one living room and two or three bedrooms upstairs. Prince Albert wanted to improve living conditions for those less fortunate.
I hope you guys like the poem, if you do then please don't forget to VOTE & COMMENT! :)

My eyes are open, I see
Suffering, excruciating pain,
I see poverty at its peak, pick
Pockets making a quick work of robbing
A good man, he does not notice,
What this world shows, his mind is
A fantasy world, full of wonders and
Most curious things, he refuses to escape,
A little girl on the street sells matches,
Her little, black dress is torn, her curls no
Longer colored in gold, her face is painted with
Shades of a hard life, I place coins in her small
Hands, nobody will do the same, they care too little
For how this world fairs, an illness, in their mind
Is a tragedy, a sarcastic thought they share with those
Who laugh at the joke, they do not have an interest in
The conditions of those less fortunate, their hearts
Are set on money, fame and when a terrible event
Happens, with no hesitation, they find somebody innocent to blame.
