#10 Cloud

I see your descent, it's a pale curtain,
My heart breaks, as I want to taste your freedom.
I was the cloak that hid your dagger,
In my misty folds, it's edge rustier.

Oh my love, I wish to be with you.
You don't know how much I wish,
To see what you see,
To create my own identity.

My selfhood is shrouded, in the dewy drops,
I cry a little each time we part paths.
Watching you rush towards the steady greens,
My heart also hopes to join you in.

Because I don't want to stay away,
But I can't touch the rocky pathway.
So I only look at you, oh dear rains,
And wait for a time when you'll take away my pains.

It's truly a plight, watching you from afar,
As you experience it all, from peace to war.
I'm up in the sky, high above,
asking the winds to send the news below.

How much I miss you, and your sharp edge,
It was welcome in my soft cottony cage.
So I extend my hands and the winds take me,
Down the ground so with you I could be.

Painful was my flinch, as I saw,
You being treaded on by beasts' maw.
I float and fly throughout the skies,
To rescue you from them, in time.

Oh my dear rain, I wait for your arrival,
Things like time seem so trivial.
The sun speeds up your emergence,
And I reach towards your presence.

Oh, my beloved, my requisite rain,
All I need is you to love all I gain.
Ours is a story, reiterated and old,
Yet it pains me, everytime you leave my folds.

I see myself in you, how I wish to be,
Your frost is what I asked for me.
A shape, a form, an identity,
Is all I wished, as a cloud, for me.
