Read in between the lines,
You'll find my story there,
Search amongst the vines,
My tale is hidden behind them.

Read the fine print of the clauses,
Truth of soul is laid bare in there,
Feel my heart tick when time pauses,
For I'll be with you, as long as my body remains.

They think of me as a disaster waiting to happen,
A storm waiting to burst open, so I hid myself,
Amongst the veiled ironies and lattice of sarcasm,
I wore an armour, words were my weapon.

Yet you took time to recognize me,
Search for my face in sea of masks aplenty,
Read all of my book, with its clauses and ironies,
And you simply read, no judgement awaited me.

And that was the best gift I could ever ask from you,
You read, took in my soul and made it your own,
And as you read, little did you knew,
A few pieces of yourself were taken in by me.

Swear by the Man on the Top Floor,
I did not mean to take it all,
But you did read me and opened you door,
To me. To take it all.

You read in between the lines,
You read the fine print,
But you overlooked the tagline,
Whilst giving details to tiny things.

You never saw the cover,
Which said never trust this old book,
Never sensed the poison mixed in rainshowers,
So engrossed you were, careful caution you never took.

And now, I fall from your hands,
On the cold marble floor,
You have nothing now to offer, passing away as you stand,
My pages full to the brim with your lifeforce.

And that is the reason why I like book summary on the back of the book instead of some Times magazine review or something. I want to know about the book, not what some random critique thought of it. Tell me your views on this. Do you prefer summaries or reviews?
