#45 The Unsung Writers

Can we talk about the
underappreciated?

Of underdogs who miss
their chance at being protagonists?

The damsels who never found
courage to pick up their shields?

The ones whose stories
could never be read?

What if all pen-warriors are
the descendants of these activists?

Trying to complete their own
stories through pen and ink?

So what if we are simply writing
a part of a flower in a field?

We did contribute to the epic,
didn't we?

What if we are trying to
live out their past lives?

Through make-believe sagas
and thoughtful rhymes?

Does it not make you feel
a part of this community?

You were never alone, but only
a drop in the ambrosiac sea?

Weren't you the champion,
the underdog, the legend?

Didn't you feel that cord tugging your hand as you wrote every second?

We are the descendants of
a legacy untold, aren't we writers?

We simply bring out those stories
to flourish in pages of time, forever.

I haven't been online in so long!
Gosh, textbooks drain the life out of oneself! *wipes away the sweat*
Anyways, here's a poem/free verse I wrote few months ago, I hope you enjoy it! :))
