Chapter 7
Robin's POV
The next day...
I go over to Barney's around noontime to check in on him. When I get to his room and see him sound asleep in bed, I sneak back to the living room and watch TV on a low volume until he wakes up a couple hours later. When he sees me, he stumbles a bit and I help him sit on the couch beside me. "Robin, how long have you been here?" "Two hours. Before you ask how I got in here, you gave me a spare key the day we started dating again." He nods understandingly.
I heat Barney and I up some white meat chicken and mashed potatoes. Something good, but light enough on the stomach. I'm also feeling a bit under the weather. I didn't sleep much last night so I'd rather be safe than sorry. The food doesn't take too long to cook and it tastes great once we eat it. Barney agrees that what I chose is the right meal on his stomach. After we're done, I ask him if he's up for some ice cream. He says he could go for a little. I pull out some pumpkin ice cream I brought just for the occasion out of the freezer. A fitting welcome fall dessert.
When we're done eating, Barney asks me if I'd like to relax in bed with him for the rest of the afternoon. I smile and say "Gladly." We climb into bed and I lean into the nook of his shoulder. After gentle playful banter, him and I eventually fall asleep in that position.
Sorry this chapter is so short, but it's just a filler chapter. Hoped you guys liked this chapter though! :) -Mary
