Chapter 28
Robin's POV
A month later...
Barney and I passed our last inspection so Grace is officially our baby girl now. We couldn't be happier right now. I hired Patrice to babysit for a few hours while we celebrate with the gang at the bar. Patrice comes right on time and we literally run downstairs and plop into our usual booth.
The gang looks at us, eager to hear our news. "We had our last observation today with the adoption agency and passed with flying colors. That means that our baby girl Grace is finally ours." Everyone bursts into cheers. Tracy runs to the counter and orders us all tequila shots to start the celebration off with. After we finish those, we have several other types of drinks and dance the night away.
A few hours later...
We all part ways and head our separate ways for the night. I wanted Barney and I to get home at a decent time for Grace's sake. When we get home, Patrice greets us with a warm smile and tells us she put Grace to bed two hours ago and she's sound asleep. We pay fifty dollars and bid her a good night. Barney and I then crash ourselves and fall into a deep sleep... that is until Grace wakes us a few hours later.
