A Deep Revelation 

Chapter 12

 Robin's POV

  A week later... at the bar.... around midnight

      I've been reflecting on Barney and I's conversation last week every second of the day. At work, in my dream, outings at the bar like right now, etc. I've been picturing our wedding in my head nonstop. Lily, Marshall, and Ted are pretty drunk, but Barney has yet to actually drink so now would be a good chance to talk to Barney about this rationally. I gently tap him on the arm and ask him if we could step aside for a minute. He nods and we step out. The gang doesn't even notice. They're too busy laughing at bad dad jokes from Ted.

      "Listen Barney, I've been thinking a lot about our conversation last week and I've realized something." He stares at me with intense curiosity. "I've realized that I want to marry you as soon as possible. Even though we only dated a few weeks before, we've known each for years. We know each other better than anyone else. So why wait? If you feel the time is right, feel free to proposal to me anytime now. I love you more than anyone else in this complicated world and you make it a little less complicated." 

     Barney begins to tear up and the sight takes me aback. Barney rarely ever cries so when does, it's about something or someone that means a lot to me. He wipes away his tears and laughs. "Robin Scherbatsky, you're something else. You're going to have to give me at least a week to come up with a romantic proposal idea and arrange it." I grab a hold of his hands, wrap them around my waist, and pull him towards me to kiss him. "Take all the time you need. I'm not going anywhere and I know you aren't either." We move out of the sight of everyone and kiss for a few minutes before joining the gang once again. Since we talked rationally for a few minutes, we can reward ourselves with some drinks.
