Chapter 19
Robin's POV
A year later...
Barney and I hit our one year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Our marriage has been rocky for the past few months, but we've managed to get through our fights and come out on top. I love Barney to much to lose him over petty fights. He's far more important than saving my pride. Plus, I made a vow to him to stay with him for better or for worse. The honeymoon phase only lasts for the first month or two before reality sets in.
As for the rest of the gang, they're all incredibly happy. We all attended Ted and Tracy's wedding last month. Tracy was a stunning bride and is truly the perfect woman for Ted. He's been through so much and deserves to have a wife like her. Lily and Marshall can now speak fluent Italian. Lily is thriving as an independent artist and Marshall has taken up a cooking job at an Italian restaurant near their apartment. They mentioned moving back to New York at some point but right now, they're living their days to the fullest.
In terms of kids, Ted and Tracy are expecting their first child soon and Lily and Marshall are having a third child due in the coming months. Barney and I have had our famous discussion reevaluating whether or not we want kids. I don't want a huge family, but I've been thinking it over and having one kid wouldn't be so bad. When I told Barney this, he was estatic. He's already coming up with baby names even though I'm not pregnant. It's going to take quite a few tries before we're successful, but that's nothing I can't handle. Before we know it, I'll be popping a cute baby out of my womb.
