      "Lukas~"
      "You can't run forever, Lukas~"

The sounds of people shouting and a vehicle running are getting closer. Either I'm going no slower than I thought or these people are really fast. I've got to find a place to hide and soon.
Taking a few more sharp turns I find a building with no windows on the first floor. I head towards it and almost rip the door off as I swing it open and slam it closed. I don't look to see if anyone is in here. I just run. Up the stairs and to the highest level in the building. Which is only three floors. I fling myself to the darkest corner of the room and sit. Desperately trying to cover up my heavy breathing. I doubt anyone would actually be able to hear me breathing in here, but I can't take any chances. My chest is rising and falling rapidly and my heart is pounding. My whole body shaking, and aching.
I feel something warm trickle down my face. Blood? I don't remember getting cut...
Reaching up and touching the warm liquid coming from somewhere around my eye, I realize it's a tear. I'm crying? I haven't cried besides from physical pain in such a long time that I thought I forgot how to.
There it is. The whooping and hollering and yelling of the people who were chasing me. The low rumble of a vehicle. Light flashes through the only two windows in this room.
'Still. Stay still. I said STILL.' I yell a command at my shaking body. I can't control the movements.
'Stay still. Still still still. Stay still and calm down.' I repeat over and over in my head.
They pass. Leaving me alone in the darkness again. I don't move until the sound is completely gone. Then I let out a small sigh of relief and move to get up. Bad idea.
I hear a small crack and realize that this floor is completely unstable. 'How did everything get this decrepit in the span of two months?' I think. If I move, the floor will probably break. But if I stay, the floor will break under my weight eventually. I decide to take my chances and run. Right before I reach the stairs, a small opening in the floor is created. Not big enough for my entire body, just enough for my leg to go through, causing a painful 90• angle with my legs. It probably would have been more painful if I wasn't as flexible. The floor behind me breaks some more causing my back to go through the floor before I could grab onto the sides of the hole. The sudden shift causes the back of my head to slam against what's left behind me. I sort of dangle in the air with one leg holding me up along with shaky arms. If I drop down, the second floor will likely break. 'How was I so stupid to come to the third floor?'

Drip.
Drip.
Drop.

I hear a faint dripping sound, but where is it coming from? I slowly come into realization as I feel a wet warmth running down my lower back, hip, and leg.

Blood.

I feel the sharp pain from before, but this time, it's jabbing into my lower back.
