Nightfall had come around and by now we were just outside of Ebern, Germany. Or at least I think that's what the map said. We set up 'camp' on the outskirts of the small town in a 'stable' house. It wasn't very big, but it wasn't falling down so there's a plus. Even though it wasn't necessary, Den insisted that we set up the tent. He was getting slightly more aggressive; probably an effect from the... y'know... bite...
After the tent was put up, we lit a fire in the fire place in, what I suspect to be, the living room. Instead of trying to cuddle, Den kept creeping along the floor to further himself from me. I understand why, though. Even if both of us don't like it, the fact the he's infected puts a lot of stress on the both of us; mainly him, for obvious reasons.
We're both disabled in some way and because of that, well, we didn't have the best of circumstances. If we were about to get 'jumped', I would slow us down; and if we needed help from one of those government divisions, Mathias would be immediately shot.
Although I have been getting better about dealing with the pain caused from when I fell threw the floor back in Munich, I still have a sorta tough time getting around. And I think this cut is weakening my immune system or something rough is going on in my country because I occasionally get these waves where I feel like absolute shit.
"Hey." Mathias says, cutting off my thinking.
      "What..?" I say somewhat irritably.
Matt- "Sleep."
L- "you too."
M- "I'm keeping watch."
L- "you need your sleep as much as I do, Den."
M- "I know, but you should get it first. And no buts."
L- "no buts?"
M- "no butts. Not even mine." He winked.
I grinned slightly at his attempt at flirting or being funny, but I complied and crawled into the tent to attempt sleep.
"God natt."* I said to him.
"God natt, Kjæreste."* he softly replied.
It took a while for me to actually sleep. Too much on my mind. But when I do sleep, I don't dream. Just peaceful sleeping until a light wakes me up. Not the light of the sun, might I add, but the light of machine. My guess was patrols, but I wasn't completely sure and wasn't about the check either. I didn't hear, feel, or see Denmark so I guessed he was hiding somewhere in the house or something. I heard muffled voices, but I was too tired to make out who was talking or what they were saying. I didn't even care enough to try and figure out what language it was, although I was sure it was a Germanic language. Hell, my language is a Germanic language.
I heard the name "Hungary", though. Hey, maybe it was the other countries? I was too foggy-minded from sleep to care about it, either way.
After a little more waking up, I recognized Denmarks voice talking to whoever was outside. I guessed it was a few other of the countries, either that or just some random passerby's that he was trading with or something. I heard foot steps and felt and hand shaking me awake.
"Hey, Norge, wake up." It was Denmark.
"Ugh..." I sat up, wiping my eyes. "God, I'd kill for some coffee right about now."
Denmark laughed but continued explaining why he woke me up. "Hungary, Prussia, and Germany are outside. They were doin' patrols around this area, you wanna see em?"
"That's what you woke me up for?" I replied irritably.
"Well, yeah, they say that they have medicine that could help you back at the divis-" I cut him off.
"We are not going to one of those government-set-up places. They will kill you." I said the last words as quietly as possible to make sure those outside couldn't hear.
M- "but-"
L- "No."
M- "Norge, you need help."
L- "you need to stay alive, and no I don't. I'm almost perfectly functional. I can handle myself."
M- "well, will you at least go talk to them?"
L- "ugh, fine. Help me up." I raised my arms up for him to pull me to my feet.
When he did, I walked over to the broken window where the group of three were standing.
"Hello, Ms. Hungary, Prussia. Germany." I said politely to them. Prussia annoyed me, but I respected his little brør* even though we didn't talk much. Hungary is the only one whose company I actually enjoy.
"Hello, Norway." Hungary said kindly. "I've been informed that you're hurt?" She looked sort of concerned, but I wanted to punch the wall because Denmark had told them.
"Ja, but it's not a problem. I'm sure everyone's been hurt in some way." I said, trying my best to make it seem like it was just a scratch.
"Well, you could come with us! We have medicine back a-" Even though I like Hungary, I cut her off.
"We're not going to a post. We still have something very important to do." I said sternly.
H- "but we have doctors and medicine back at the GDP.*"
L- "I'm sorry, Hungary. I'd love to go with you but we have to find Iceland. And, I'm not in that bad of shape."
Prussia- "Just come with the awesome me! Denmark and you will be welcome in my awesome fort!"
Germany- "Don't yell, Gilbert."
H- "Fine, here." She extended her arm out, holding something for me to take. "If you won't come with us, then at least take this.
I took the small container out of her hand. It was medicine or something.
"Thank you, but I don-" she cut me off.
"Just take it, Lukas. And come to our GDP when you find Iceland." After giving me the bottle, she turned away. Prussia and Denmark were still talking so Germany had to drag Gilbert away.
