Vivian:

I woke in a scream. I’ve had screaming nightmares every night since my Parents died. They were murdered when I was fourteen years old, and I saw the whole thing.

We were just having a normal dinner, my dad at one end of the table and my mum on the other end, when a man came into our home. We didn’t hear any locks being opened or windows being smashed, but my mum and I knew that there were people who could break into homes without making a sound. Those people would be wizards. We knew because we were witches. We had magical powers the same as the man who came into our home, but we didn’t have any evil intentions.

When he introduced himself as Lord Voldemort, I wasn’t the least bit surprised. I was surprised that he was in our home of all places, but I wasn’t because of the stories I had heard. He then pulled out his wand at my father. He laughed of course, but when he looked at my mother and I, he knew it meant business.

Voldemort then started calling my father his father. He said that he was disgusted to have a filthy, mudblood father and just for being that, he deserved to die. My mother had told me many times that I had an older brother that my father had known nothing about, but she never mentioned that the child was his. I always thought she meant she had had another with another man.

He then killed my screaming father, who had no idea what was going on. I started crying. My father, who was so good to me, was gone. Just like that. Then, Voldemort turned his wand on my mother. I knew what was coming. My wonderful mother was also gone in a blink of an eye.

Voldemort then looked me up and down. He didn’t kill me that night, but spared me instead. He told me that it wasn’t my fault I was there. I was just born to the wrong set of people, just like he was. He also informed me that he was in fact my older brother. The one that I had wondered about for so long.

The story of how his parents got together was one I will never forget. She tricked him into taking a love potion and marrying her. He also told me that my mother was actually in love with him. He knew that she was a devoted deatheater, which I didn’t know, but he wanted to keep her happy. That was why he held off on killing them.

I told him of how my father never knew that I was a witch or that I went to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. My mother thought it would drive him away. Its was drove him away from Voldemort’s mother, whom he was disgusted with as well.

For being Voldemort’s sister, I didn’t get treated very well. He used me as a bargaining tool, and let men do things to me that I never even thought possible. He also sent me back to Hogwarts, where I was supposed to help Draco do what he needed to do. I was also engaged to be married to Blaise Zambini because of him. He never gave a second thought to anything he did to me.

Being at Hogwarts was an escape. It was the only place that I felt safe, free from Voldemort until Draco paved the way for them to come into the castle.

Draco. He’s one person that I never got along with. We hung out plently, but fought all the time. He had his perfect way of life and didn’t understand how it could be hard for me. I wanted to tell him so bad, I wanted to tell all of my friends what made my life so hard, but that reason would’ve caused me my life and theirs.

I had to keep it all bottled up inside, just as I still did that night. The night I had my first nightmare about Draco Malfoy. Why he entered my mind, was just what baffled me.

After I woke up covered in sweat that night, it was early enough to head out and clear my head, to forget just for a little while, to take out my frustrations with a total stranger.

This is a story that I had written a long time ago. I figured I'd bring it back while you wait for my next upload of Truth! I'm currently writing a paper, so I'll be going back and forth. I hope you like it.
