Collins pov

8:39pm

i'm not a big fan of talking to people i don't know but i chose to use my charm today. i mean i do have to know a few people if i want to get around more easier. i ran into this cute girl today and turns out i get to see her again at school tomorrow. she was sweet until i'm guessing her brother came up and extinguished the fire. hm River. what a calm name. i'll ask her to show me around the school since i'm new to PMH. "Collin? are you in deep thought or is staring at the ceiling a new hobby you've picked up?" my mom asked snapping me out of my thoughts. "well considering i'm not in Kansas anymore i decided that ceiling watching is indeed my new thing." i answered my mom in a sarcastic tone. "Collin again with this? i told you we had to move from that place it was dragging us down we need a new nice clean environment and i think Phil mills is a great place." my mom said. i knew what she was telling me was right. our old home was too cramped and was filled with drama, we should have left it behind a long time ago. "oh and don't forget to take the brownies to our neighbors later." my mom said before kissing my head and leaving the room.

"no i didn't get his number terrise. i am famished after today and i'm also starving so ill see you at school tomorrow okay?" i told terrise ending our conversation. "fine but if i see him tomorrow and he is hotter than a oven on 450 degrees, best believe i'm hooking you up." she told me before hanging up the phone. i love terrise we've been best friends since 5th grade and here we are ending it all on our last year. i honestly can't wait till tomorrow. "yo. chicken face, dinner is ready." mark said interrupting my thoughts. "okay i'll come down to eat pizza in a minute." i said while putting emphasis on the pizza part. we eat pizza every Sunday for 'Sunday dinner'. as i walked down the stairs i seen mark putting pizza on some paper plates. "let me guess you forgot to wash the dishes." i said with a giggle. "no....yes." he changed his answer after looking at the disbelief written on my face. my brother is funny, cool, and weird all at once but one of his flaws would be his short term memory loss. "yum meat lovers. did you get the soda?" i asked him. "the one part i would never forget" he said reaching behind the counter to retrieve a Pepsi soda bottle. "so did you figure out what you are wearing to school tomorrow?" he asked while stuffing his face. "yup, i have two options. A white cropped tee with black leggings and my old Letterman jacket, or my green cropped tee with the blue hoodie and my distressed acid wash jeans." i told him in return. "hm... i'm getting vibes from the blue hoodie but i think that Letterman jacket screams RIVER" he said trying to impersonate a fashion critic. "Nice. so...Letterman?" i asked really wanting to hear his opinion. "most definitely the Letterman." he responded. after i cleaned up the plates and put the pizza boxes in the oven i seen that mark was already walking up to bed so i turned of the light and  passed the front door hearing it knock. when i turned back to open the door i almost lost my cool. "Hey its you, uhh River right? you live here?" the cute guy from the mall asked me. how did he know where i lived? "uh yes that's me, and yes i live here." i said shivering a bit due to the little amount of clothing i was wearing. "uh come in please. wouldn't want to get sick" i said letting him in. i noticed he was carrying some brownies. "oh my mom wanted me to bring these over, she mentioned something about neighborly love?" he said chuckling lightly. "wow thanks they smell nice, tell her we appreciate it. we would send something home made your way as well but me and my brother can't cook." i said jokingly. "no it's okay, were fine actually. so am i interrupting your shower time or something?" he said looking down at my attire. "no i was just about to head upstairs and watch the remainder of my show." i assured him. "oh you know what i'm sorry i interrupted you i can leave" he said pointing to the door. "no, why don't you stay my show ends in ten minutes." i suggested. "really? your brother wouldn't mind?" he asked. "actually i wouldn't mind if you could watch it but YOU need to put on some clothing. and leave the door opened so i can hear or check on you" mark said pointing at me. "yeah yeah yeah whatever. come on Collin my rooms up here." i said directing him up the stairs. "okay cool. but let me text my mom i'm staying over for a while." he said before pulling out his phone. not too long after his mom texted back. "what did she say?" i asked. "she said i could come over after school tomorrow if that's okay?" he said breaking my heart slightly. i really wanted him to stay. "oh yeah for sure definitely. maybe i can give you a ride to and from school as well" i suggested. "okay sounds great. and maybe you can show me around school?" he asked ever so gently. "alright. and be careful out there" i said saying my final goodbyes for the night. "bye.. River" he said shoving his hands in his front pockets walking away from my house with a cute posture. ''bye, Collin see you soon you love boat" my brother whispered in my ear pretending to be me. i hate this jack ass. but i have to admit i really cant wait to see him tomorrow.
