after they gassed her and she went to sleep, they sent me out of the room. I was in the waiting room along with an woman and her two kids. I looked at my phone to check the time, it was 9:37 am. i stretch and relaxed a little more than before because the nurse said she would be done by at least 9:40. a few minutes later just as the nurse promised... "excuse me, yes shes finished." nurse Shelly said walking off to talk to the other patients. i walk in the room and saw River laying back with her mouth full of gauze. when she saw me she smiled. "hey ranger Phil! how are you?" she asked. i couldn't help but laugh. "hey babe you ready to go home?" i asked. "no! i wanna go to the carnival to see the tap dancing bears jump rope with Lasers!" she slurred and then pouted folding her arms in a childish manner. "we can't go to the carnival today sport. Your all gassed up." i said sitting down next to her. "why not?" she started tearing up. the last thing i wanted was for her to cry. "okay, how about this...i take you to the carnival if you get in the car." i lied through my teeth. "yaaaaaayyyyy carnival!!" she yelled excitedly. the doctor came in and gave River a little treasure chest with her tooth in it. "i thought those were for little kids" i question the doctor. "yeah they are, but she wanted one." he smiled and gave it to Riv. "ooh it's like my tooth is my booty. haha." she giggled. today is going to be quite the day. we made it to her car in no time because she really wanted to go to the 'carnival'. we get in. "i want cotton candy!" River said crossing her arms. "I do too, but it wouldn't fair for me to eat some and you can't for 45 minutes." i replied starting the engine. "whatever floats your log frog" she slurred. This is too hilarious, when she comes back next month to get the other tooth removed i'll be sure to bring a camera. when we got to my house, i noticed Riv didn't like the fact that we weren't at the carnival. "This ain't the carnival yo!" she said causing me to stifle my laugh. "I'm sorry River but i called the carnival and they said their not open on Friday's." "Humph!" she grunted and opened the car door. "River calm down, we can go to the carnival tomorrow." i assured her while helping her in my house. "hey kids, how was the orthodontist?" my mom greeted us. "It was fine. Right Riv?" i looked to river. she started to fake cry. "Oh my goodness whats wrong River? come here." my mom said pulling her into a hug, leading her to the kitchen. "I-- I wanted to--to go to t-the carnival!!" she cried out. my mom got her some paper towels to clean her face and the drool hanging from her chin. "Oh man i left the gauze's in the car gotta go get em" i detoured looking for a reason to escape my mothers wrath. "Collin--." before she finished calling my name i shut the front door and walked to the car. when i opened the backseat door, i seen the gauze's and retrieved them. when i was about to go back into the house i seen something in the backyard. Now I've seen many scary films in my day, and one of the things you don't do is wander off towards trouble but it was daylight. Whats the worst that could happen in daylight? i went in the backyard and it turns out my mind was playing tricks on me. When i got back in the house my mom was standing in front of me with her hands on her hips. "Collin. Did you tell River you would take her to the carnival to see the tap dancing lasers jump roping with bears?" "no....I told her i would take her to see the tap dancing bears jump roping with lasers." i said kissing my moms cheek and heading to the living room. "Why would you tell her that when shes all gassed up you silly boy?" she pinched my arm. "ow. she wouldn't get in the car if i said we couldn't go." i held the place she pinched me, laughing at how much she cares about my girlfriend. I love the fact that she feels that way towards River. it gives me a sense of acceptance. when i seen River asleep on the couch, i texted Mark and told him that she was at my place with me and my mom.

Me: hey mark.

Mark: yo, man wassup?

Me: I took riv to the orthodontist today and we just made it back. shes at my place with me and my mom.

Mark: alright bro thanks and no problem i'll come get her when i get off.

Me: yeah.

I then ended the conversation and went up to my room to plan and scheme. When i got to my room I grabbed my laptop and sat on my bed. I found just the website i needed to purchase a recorder and hard drive. this plan is going to be GOLD! I'll make Lucy pay for what she did to me and Riv. in the least harmful way possible. Just enough to get every one to realize how cruel and mean she is. Who knows, maybe i'll just tease her and wave an empty hard drive around. When River wakes up, I'll ask her what she thinks.
