Rivers pov *Monday*
I woke up to a loud banging downstairs. "Mark!" I yelled not wanting to wake up. "Yeah?" he yelled in response. "What the hell?" "Sorry. It's nothing, I'm done now." I knew he was down there doing something he wasn't supposed to, so I sluggishly got out of bed and made my way down the steps. I seen Mark pushing something into the living room. A big box. "What's that?" I startled him. "Man! this was supposed to be a surprise, but I guess I kinda knew this would happen." He said smiling. "What did you do this time?" I asked. "This time, nothing." He then pulled the box and that's when I noticed the TV was missing, but I didn't acknowledge it. Mark took a box cutter and opened the box teasingly. "Mark." "okay!" With one quick slash the box was open and I nearly died. "What the hell? Where did you get the money for this?" I said with now a huge smile playing on my lips. He bought a 50 inch TV. "All those hours I worked, they really paid off. So...what do you think?" I was speechless. My games will look great on this TV. I just hugged him. He really is the best brother ever. "Yeah yeah yeah. I just thought it'd be cool, since your birthday is coming up." "Wow. This is really cool. Thanks Mark." I say admiring the TV my big brother just purchased. What would I do without him?
Collins pov
I decided to catch the bus to school this morning because the walk to the bus stop is peaceful. When I got to the school I seen a few people running into the auditorium. I decided to go see what was up. When I got in, there were people up on the stage as if they were auditioning for something. Then it hit me. I forgot the auditions were today. "Hello Collin i'm glad you decided to show up for the audition. I was worried you either forgot or just didn't want the grade." Ms. Wailor said guiding me to the stage. "Yeah well I really need that 89." I sheepishly grin. "Okay. Well, you go on in 10 minutes. Go study your lines." She said before she pushed me off towards the back. I spent my weekend studying my lines. That's why I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with River lately. When I got to the back I saw this girl, I think her name was Whitney, shes in my Calculus class. I never thought she was the social one so I never really talked to her. I walked over to her. "at what o'clock tomorrow shall i send to the?" I heard her read from her script book. "at the hour of nine." I replied helping her out. She whipped around and rolled her eyes playfully. "I will not fail: 'tis twenty years till then. I had forgot why I did call thee back." She laughed finishing her line. "So, trying for Juliet?" I asked. "Romeo?" she asked me. "Yeah." "Then no." she was going to walk out. "Hey, you weren't that bad, and I promise I won't bite. We were good." I assured her. "No it's not that. I was just hoping someone else would be my romeo. Not that I don't want you to I just really like this guy and he said he might audition for the part." she said with her hands up in defense. "No it's okay, but If you don't mind I really need this part." "No, It's okay. We'll just see after call backs." she said turning to go on stage. "Hey!" I called her back. She turned to face me. "who's the guy? I could probably help you out." I asked. "I don't think you know him that well." "I know, but it doesn't hurt to try. And your secrets safe with me." I had persuaded her. I could tell because her shoulders dropped in defeat. "His name is Conner Lakely. He has the twin brother?" When she said Conner's name I instantly smiled. "Yeah, I know him. He's actually a good friend of mine. I'll help you." I told her before she left for the stage. So.., Conner Lakely huh? Oh I can't wait to help him out. Speaking of Conner, wasn't Benson coming back today? I already knew my lines so i just watched everyone else do their auditions until it was my turn. "Collin Myers." the Drama teacher called my name. I took a deep breath and walked out. When I looked out to the empty auditorium I seen River walking in with Terri, Casey, Conner, and Benson. I didn't tell River about the audition because the same day I found out and tried to tell her she blew up at me. Conner must have told them. I pretended they weren't here so I could focus. "Uh. My name is Collin Myers and i'm auditioning for the part of Romeo." I said with a mouthful of confidence. she gave me the nod and I looked to Ms. Wailor who was giving me two thumbs up. A girl with red hair walked up to me and we started to exchange lines. when I finished my audition, the drama teacher smiled widely and stood up. "That was very impressive Mr. Myers. I will be seeing you soon. "Thank you mam." I said before exiting the stage. All of my friends were applauding for me and it made me feel even more confident that I would get the part, but then I remembered Whitney and how she really liked Conner. I walked through the back and met up with River and the others. "Why didn't you tell me you wanted to be in the play? I would have auditioned myself." River asked. "You would have been my Juliet?" I asked surprised. "No way. Maybe a bush or a tree." we all laughed and left the auditorium. "You did good buddy." Benson said laughing. "what's up bro? you feeling any better? you look like a million bucks." He laughed and punched me in my arm. "I don't feel like it." I missed this guy. I have to ask him later about how it all happend, but not before I follow through on me and Riv's plan.
