when we got to garrio's Collin opened the door for me and we found a table. i seen Terri's dad behind the counter making his way over to us. "nice to see you again miss Jones where is that pesky brother of yours?" Walter asked. "he's at work. how you been Walt?" i asked. "oh just swell. did Terrise tell you about the mail she received today?" Walt said with a big ass smile on his face. "NO dad i was going to tell her!" Terri said running to the table. "oh hey whats up Collin?" Terrise said greeting him. "hey Terrise." Collin said while smiling generously. "i'll tell you both the good news before you leave. just give the bell a ring and i'll be out." Terri said not wanting to disturb us. when we finished talking with Walt and Terri, me and Collin made small talk. "So Walt? like Walt Disney?" Collin asked laughing. "yeah. he's Terri's dad, he owns the place." i informed him. "cool. so what kind of pizza would you like? you know since i'm paying." he said picking up a menu. "no way. you wouldn't let me pay our fare to ride the bus. I'm paying!" i semi warned him not to pay. "no i'm paying!" he said back trying to get louder that me. "no i'm paying." i said whispering. "no i'm paying" he mouthed. this boy is so crazy. "fine you pay. i almost forgot that you had to from the other day." i said remembering what happend with queen slut. we ordered a meat lovers pizza and we talked most of the time. we were learning more and more about each other. i knew a secret of his and he knew a secret of mine. thank god my secret wasn't as hilarious as his. either way they were both funny. it was 2:00 pm and i really wanted to give him his gift first but he beat me to it. "so. you ready for your surprise?" he said smiling at me. "heck yeeah! even though mine will be better than yours" we joked around and he gave me a medium size flat box. i shook it and looked at him one last time before i opened it. when i seen what he got me i nearly fainted. "this is for being a great friend" he said as i looked at the shiny game case that read 'Mafia 3' i can't believe he bought me the game iv'e been meaning to buy but couldn't because i lost my job. this game costs $59.00 at game stop in the mall!! "OH.MY. GLOB!! i can't believe you got me Mafia 3!!! dude we totally have to play when we get back. THANK YOU SO MUCH" i said getting up to hug him. when we sat down he said the most dumbest thing. "so is your gift better than mine?" he asked smiling at me. i wanted to say 'HELL NO! you won' but i didnt want him to see me sweat too bad. "okay i have to admit your gift is a game changer, but wait till you see mine." i said passing him the envelope. he shook it like the dumb ass he is and opened it. i guess i won because his jaw dropped and he dropped the name tags. "what the actual fuck! you didn't! how--" he said with amazement written all over his face. i bought us both a ticket to this years fall 2016 gaming expo. he's been talking about it more than i have and I've been dying to go. "look at what else is in there." i said waiting for him to freak out. he dropped the card and jumped over the table to hug me. i also got him a gaming expo money card with $100.00 on it. that's one reason why i couldn't buy the game i wanted. "i can't believe you did this. i can't take your money." he said pushing the card my way. "oh it's not my money. i won two in a sweepstakes online. i pulled out mines. i had to lie, i wanted him to take it. "thank you so much riv this is the best gift ever! god i can't wait till fall break!" he exclaimed. "your welcome. oh and thanks for being a great friend." i said putting the icing on the cake. we finished our pizza and talked about how much fun we were going to have on fall break. when we paid Walt we headed to the counter and dinged the bell. we could see Terri in the break room watching a movie on her laptop with her headphones plugged in. when we realized she couldn't hear us we walked in and stood in front of her. "oh shit you guys scared the muscle out of my relaxer." Terri shouted. she loved using puns about her hair and the one she just used wasn't so bad. "what was the good news you wanted us to know girl?" i asked awaiting the news. "you guys wont believe this... NYU sent me a letter in the mail and...i can go on a tour of the campus. i also have to write and essay on why i want to attend. isn't that cool?" she said clearly with excitement in her smile. i didn't say anything else i simply just walked away and turned back around and lunged myself at her, engulfing her in the biggest hug known to mankind. i was so proud of her. "ow girl i can't breathe." she said trying to pry me off. "OMG T i'm so proud of you! this is great!" i said kissing her whole face. "that's really cool Terrise i hope you get in!" Collin said joining us on the floor. when we got tired of siting on the floor we got up and i asked a question that only she can answer. "did you tell Casey?" i asked. her face shifted to a 'girl yes' expression and she picked up her cell. i thought she would call Casey but instead she put it on the text messaging screen and showed me 30 texts from Casey saying how proud he was of her. i guess she told him first. Casey is a great friend and i love him but if he sent me that many messages in 5 minutes i swear i would drive to his house and take his phone then flush it in a toilet.
