Collins pov

the bell rang for lunch and when i looked up i seen River was already gone. i grabbed my things and headed for the door when Ms. Wailor, my music teacher, stopped me. "Mr. Myers, mind if i have a word?" she asked. "no. go ahead" i simply replied. "i couldn't help but notice your grade is slipping in my class. would you like to know how you could get extra credit?" "oh i almost forgot about that. yes please Ms. Wailor my mom would kill me if i brought home an C." i say rolling my eyes in relief. "are you aware that the school is putting on a play in honor of fall approaching?" she asked forming an evil grin on her face. "nnnooo?" i replied dumbfounded. "well if you can get the leading role in the play, i will boost your grade from a 75 to a 89." when she combined those magic numbers 8 and 9 then said boost my grade she had me. "Okay. no problem. ill get the lead." i said with such confidence. "that's it? your not going to complain about being embarrassed in front of your friends and beg me to make an exception?" she asked confused. i started walking out. "nope. i only have a few friends here, and i'm sure they would be happy for me." i said leaving her with an weird smile. teachers are weird.

Rivers pov

i made it to the patio within two minutes. when i stepped out i seen Lucy and her drones. she had sunglasses on and boy did she look stupid. i approached the dimwits with caution. "well i wish you would have told me you were trying to sell me drugs before i came so i could notify the authorities." i joked. she frowned at makayla who was snickering at what i said. "look Niagara, your going to stop those sly remarks after i say what i have to say." "enlighten me." "so, you remember freshman year  when you clumsily spilled apple juice all over your pants and everyone thought it was pee?" she asked smiling evilly. "how could i forget? they called me waterfall for two weeks straight and eventually got over it, whats your point?" i asked getting frustrated. "i want that boy." she said with her chin up with satisfaction on her stupid face. "what boy? Casey? i'm sure he prefers guys" i joked again. "NO! the other one. The SEXY one." oh now i know she isn't talking about Collin. my Collin. "My boyfriend?" i asked with a straight face. "boyfriend huh? so your dating him? that makes this even more fun." they all laughed at me. "no you can't." i said moving closer to her. her drones stepped up and crossed their arms over their chest, protecting their queen. "awww poor little Lake is in love. too bad it won't last." "god you are such a bitch Lucy! what do you get out of making peoples life a living hell? were you born with horns and a tail?" i got mad and dropped my things, practically yelling now. "so what, it's not like he'll miss you. all you have to do is break his heart and i'll be there for him." she said flipping her dumb hair. "And if i don't, you'll tell him about the apple juice thing." i said rolling my eyes. "if you don't, i'll make sure you'll never see him again. Literally." "you can't just threaten me, and get away with this Lucy." "Oh you best believe i can, Liquid." after she said that she took her glasses off and walked off sporting her signature devil face. would she really try and take Collin away from me? there is only one thing left for me to do. I have to end things with Collin. A single tear slid down my cheek as the bell rang signaling me that lunch was over.

Collins pov

when the bell rang for 5th period i seen River walking alone with her head down coming from the patio. i approached her. "why the long face speedy?" "Collin. hey uh...i'm fine." she looked as if shes been crying. "you don't look fine Riv." she may not know it but i feel like i can see right through her sometimes. "I said its nothing!" she raised her voice at me. 
"I'm sorry jeez. Excuse me for trying to see what's bothering my girlfriend." "well maybe that's the problem! You always think somethings wrong! why can't you just leave things alone?" she yelled at me. I was hurt by her words. I thought we had a connection. A bond. I guess I was wrong. "you know what? Fine. I'll leave you alone." i said coldly turning away, but I realized i didn't want to end things that way. "Call me when you when you want to talk." I caught up with Conner, and we walked to Gym. "what's up dude?" Conner asked. "Nothing. Nothing at all." we walked into the Gymnasium to see Lucy and her little friends giggling in front of the boys locker room. "Hey cutie. I don't think we've properly been introduced." she said to me. "I think there is a reason for that. He's taken Loosey, keep walking." Conner spoke on my behalf. She simply scoffed and said something very odd. "not for long." was all she said before Conner dragged me into the locker room. Today is officially the worst day ever! My girlfriend isn't talking to me, Benson still isn't taking any visitors, i have to audition for a stupid play to boost my grades. God, why me?

I really do hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, it was really cool to write.
