Collins pov

I can't believe I said that. I can't believe I didn't go after her. But If it means anything she told me not to leave until I finish. I looked to the next star and I just let everything out. My problems seemed to melt away and I felt lighter on the shoulders. I looked at my phone to see that I had 3 missed calls from Conner. I folded up the blanket and put her flashlight away then walked out of the shed. When I walked back in I remembered what she said in a faint voice inside my head.
'In time' I then walked to the living room to see her on the couch laughing at the show she was watching. Could it be that I was worried about nothing? Could it be that she isn't really hiding something and if she is, it couldn't be too big for me to stress out over? "Listen I don't mind what you said. It was just you worrying about me. I'm sorry I gave you that impression, I just had a lot on my mind lately and I'm dealing with a problem of my own. I walked out because I remembered what that problem was but fortunately it doesn't concern you. So therefore I can assure you have nothing to worry about. But a time will come when I tell you about it." She said sensing me behind her. "River it was wrong of me to even assume you were hiding something from me and if you were I'm sure it's none of my business to begin with. I'm sorry." I apologized and walked in front of her and got on my knees and kissed her hands. She just smiled and pulled me into a hug. I have to admit I was caught off guard but it felt nice and I needed that hug to assure me that she was fine. "Collin your mom called and she was pretty upset that you didn't call her before staying the night. I told her you were still knocked out and once you woke up you would be over there." "Thanks and I guess I gotta go. I'll call you tonight. Or whenever I wanna hear your voice my lady." She laughed. "No problem now go my knight. I look forward to hearing your call later." She kissed me goodbye like she said she would and I walked to my house which was at least 6 seconds away. I have to stay with you River. I need to stay with you.

Rivers pov

When he left I went to my room and put on my joggers and tank top then set off for my keys. I got a text from Terri saying she needed to tell me something important and that there was an emergency friend meeting at garrios. I still feel a little stuffy but I went anyway. I thought it might be awkward if I just asked Collin to leave because of what happend earlier so I kinda fibbed telling him his mom called. When I got to my car I got in and drove off to garrios. I wonder what the emergency is this time since the last one was she had no idea what to wear on her date with Jeremy from our old summer job. When I pulled into garrios I seen Terri standing outside with Casey, Conner, and Benson. I got out and they dragged me into the parlor. "Okay geez I can walk no need to fling me in here like a booger. Now whats the emergency?" I asked Terri as she was smiling super hard. "I have the best news you'll ever hear this month!" Terri said. "Yeah this is the best news I've ever heard lately." Conner said wide eyed. Which was weird he never gets this excited about anything. Except for when it's the time of year for-- "the annual fall AP feild trip starts on Monday! Can you believe it?!" Conner took words right out of my brain. "Oh crap I totally forgot about that!" I said laughing. I still don't see what to emergency is. "Oh Yeah I can't wait to see where we go this year!
Remember we went to that lodge last year?! That was so fun." Benson said forgetting we weren't exactly close around that time. "So what's so emergency about it? Last I checked we were in different groups back then." I remind them. "That's why we called this emergency friend meeting! We are all gonna be a group this year and as we all know we each have to pay a fee. It's my job to make sure everyone will have their share." Terri said smiling and pointing at everyone. Oh wow I didn't think of that. "Well I heard a rumor that we might be going on a cruise this year." Casey said grinning. "In the fall? I think that rumor is an actual rumor." Terri said patting Casey on the head. "Idk. they send the emails out tonight and we have to go drop off our money on Sunday, which is tomorrow." Benson said putting everyone at ease. While everyone was talking about the trip I thought to myself, how much money do we have left in the account?  After Mark bought that t.v. and went grocery shopping today I'm sure there will be something left for me. "So. Does everyone have their 50 bucks?" Everyone said yeah all except me.  But then again I remembered something. "Hey what about Collin?" Benson asked. "Yeah what about Collin? I thought  maybe he'd Be with you River." Terri asked. "Well I didn't know if he was invited, I figured this was something important and personal since i didn't know we had new members to our meetings. i mean I sent him home right after you texted." I explained to them. "Of course he's invited he's one of us now." Casey said.  I'm not gonna lie this kinda made me happy. "Yeah I even called him 3 times just in case he wasn't with you but he dodged em all." Benson said checking his phone. "I'll let him know when he calls me later." I tell them. We all chatted until it got late and we all just started leaving. I kissed Terri and Casey goodbye and got in my car and drove home. When I unlocked the door and walked in I see 2 shirtless guys on my couch yelling at the screen. "Oh come on lemme see some defense!" Mark yelled.  Collin looked at me and came to the door. "Hey you mind telling me why my mom said she didn't call you? And where were you?" He asked worryingly. "Terri held an emergency meeting and I thought it was personal but when i got there the whole gang was there.  You could have come after all I'm sorry I lied." I said innocently. "No it's okay.  Now what was the emergency?" I explained everything that happend earlier. "Oh that seems cool. Do you have your share?" He asked concerned. "Idk I was planning to ask Mark if we had  any money left." I looked to Mark. "I'm sure we have some left.  How much you need grimlin?" Mark asked. "50 bucks." I answered ever so simply. "Yeahhh. When do you need it?" He asked wincing. I knew it. "How much do we have left Mark?" I hang my head down knowing his answer will piss me off. "30ish" he said nervously. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down since Collin was here. "I guess no trip for me." I say heading for the kitchen. "Your kidding right? You know I can give you the money right?" Collin said putting his shirt on. Oh how I wish he wouldn't. "No I can't make you--" "Your not making me do anything. I'm doing it myself. Besides your my girlfriend. The trip wouldn't be the same without you. Please let me pay your way it's the least I could do after you got me those tickets for the gaming expo." When he said that I decided to say.."fine. But as soon as we get back I'm paying you back." I warn him. "deal." He said kissing me.
