Chapter 1

Kelly POV:

" severide there's a visitor for you out in the common room." Matt said smiling
I looked at him curiously " alright thanks." I said and put a hand on his shoulder.  I walked out.
" well if it isn't the one and only Kelly severide." She said.
" Hales! What are you doing here?!" I asked
" I came to see my big brother." She said
I knew she was lying
" hales I know you better than anyone what's really going on?"
" my district got shut down."
" why?"
" scandal."
" hales..."
" i wasn't involved. My name wasn't even involved. Haven't you been watching the news?"
" yes, the Chicago news not the  Cincinnati daily." I laughed
" yeah yeah well it was bad so I came here to get away from all the mess."
" fine by me. You can stay with me for as long as you need to."
" well I was thinking about moving here... permanently."
I smiled so big.
" come on lil sis everyone's waiting for you inside." 

Haley's POV:

I walked inside with everyone.
" well it seems that nothing changes at 51." I said and everyone came and gave me a hug.
" what are you doing here hales?" Matt asked
" didn't you hear her district went under?" Borelli said
" thank you Borelli for caring about me." I smiled
" jimmy you watch the Cincinnati daily?" Matt asked
" yeah one of our own is over there so i watch what's going on."
" how sweet." Hermann said and we all laughed
We talked for hours.
" so Kelly tell me about this girl you've been seeing." I said and he looked at me
" how often do you and borelli speak?" He asked
" weekly." I said
" it's nothing"
" yeah it's nothing hales, if nothing is they've been dating for 3 months now." Matt said
" 3 months?! Kelly!"
" I was gonna tell you."
" when? When things went south?"
" I figured you've been talking to jay."
" I have but he said that you guys were just talking."
" we have. Speaking about just talking what's going on with you and Halstead anyway?" He asked. I blushed. Jay and I have been friends forever now but I've always had a thing for him.
" nothing. I've been in Cincinnati and he's been here in Chicago."
" but now you're in Chicago." Gabby said sitting on matt's lap
" and staying." Kelly added
" wait what?!" Jimmy asked
" easy borelli." Matt and Kelly said  and then looked at each other and smiled
" You're moving here?" Gabby asked
" yes."
" since when?" She asked
" since I decided to come here."
" well where are you staying?"borelli asked
" borelli don't make me kick your ass." Kelly said
I laughed "I'll stay with Kelly."
" why don't you just stay with me and Brett? We'd love to have you."
" are you sure I mean I don't wanna impose on anybody."
" are you kidding we've missed you severide we'd love for you to be our roommate!" Brett added.
I looked at Kelly.
" move in with them hales. Breakfast at my apartment at 7 though."
" oh come on Kelly."
" it's a tradition hales and we're doing it."

Truck 51, Squad 3, ambulance 61 tree fire 66 elmwood.

" let's roll out." Borelli chirped
" god borelli I don't know how much longer I can deal with you." Kelly said
" come on you can roll with me." Matt said laughing.
" I'm gonna pass Matt thanks though."
" where you going?"
" district 21. Gonna talk to voight about a job."
" you go girl. Say hi to Erin for your brother."
" will do." I laughed.

I talked to voight and he gave me a job. I ran into Erin.
" hales?!" She chirped
" Erin!"  I said and gave her a hug
" what are you doing here?!" She asked excited
" god does nobody watch the Cincinnati daily around here?"
" I do." I recognized the voice and my heart jumped. Jay.
" jay." I said
"Haley."  He said
" oh for god sake can you guys just kiss already." Adam said coming towards me for a hug followed by everyone else.
"Jays gonna kick your ass for that." Alvin laughed
" so what are you doing here?" Jay asked
" like what's your plan now that your district went under." Antonio asked
" I'm moving here. Permanently." I smiled and jays face lit up.
" really?" Jay asked and Erin laughed
" no she's lying jay." Adam said
" ruzek shut up." Voight said
" so what are you gonna do about a job?" Kevin asked
" I just hired her." Voight said.

Back at 51:

" so how'd things go down at the district?" Matt asked
" voight hired me." I said
" what?! You're working for who?!" Kelly asked
" Kelly..."
" no haley do you even know what you're getting yourself into??"
" yes Kelly it's my career!"
" not with him! He's not the boss you want!"
" I don't need you to protect me anymore kelly! I went to Cincinnati and I was fine there!"
" yeah you went when I told you not to!"
" I can take care of myself kelly! I have for years!"
" don't get in this Haley I promise you it never ends good."
" nothing ever ends good in your book kelly. You won't even admit to me that you're dating Erin! You can't be happy! God! Just say congratulations for once and be proud of your baby sister!" I walked out.
