6 months later...

Justin has moved the wedding up because he announced 2 months ago that Olive was pregnant. We were so happy for him and you could see the grandpa look in hank's eye. I woke up not feeling too well. But I had to head to work.
" good morning cincinatti." Platt said
" morning Trudy." I said.
I walked upstairs.
" hey you don't look so good what's wrong?" Jay asked
" I'm not feeling too well."
" go home hales. You shouldn't be here if you feel like this."
" no i mean I think I'm good. I just need to sit down."
He helped me sit down and voight came to give us our case. I saw jay walk over to Hank and then they walked over to me.
" Haley go home. You don't feel good you shouldn't be here."
" cmon searg I'm fine."
" no you're not. We've got Justin's wedding this weekend and we don't need you sick. Now go home." I rolled my eyes and left.

At my apartment....

" hey sicky." Justin said walking in
" hey how'd you know I was home?"
" dad called said you weren't feeling good to bring you some soup."
" aww thanks Justin I appreciate it."
" and I wanted to see my best sister."
" yeah well your best sister better not get sick for your wedding."
" yeah really since you'll be making a toast and standing up in front of all those people."
" what are you talking about?"
" olive was gonna come ask you but I didn't want her to come if you were sick. She wants you and Erin to be her maid of honors."
" of course we will justin!" I chirped. The door opened.
" hey babe I got you some soup and crackers and some medicine." Jimmy said and then he saw justin.
" hey justin what's going on?"
" nothin much jimmy."
" jimmy justin actually brought me soup so you can just put that in the fridge for me later. Aren't you supposed to be working anyway?"
" I took a break to get you some lunch. But I gotta be heading back. Feel better I'll talk to you soon." He said and walked out
" he takin care of you?" Justin asked
" yeah."
" as much as jay would?"
" justin please."
" I know. Don't talk about it."
" thank you."
I must've fell asleep because when I woke up justin was gone but he left a note.
Hales,
How was your nap? Feeling any better? I really hope so. Listen, there's soup in the fridge for dinner if you want. I had to go cause Olive needed me. I'll check up on you later. Jay is gonna call you soon. Play your cards right sis. Love you,

" god justin you're gonna kill me just like the others." I said and went to go make myself some soup. There was a knock on the door.
" it's open!" I called out
" ya know you really shouldn't do that considering you don't know who is on the other side of the door."
" I knew it was you jay, justin said that you were coming. Plus I have a gun I'm a cop remember."
" ahhh yes. How you feeling?"
" a little better. I think I'm gonna go sit outside for a little".
" it's cold outside hales."
" listen I'm gonna go outside so you can either sit with me or sit here alone."
He smiled and followed me outside. He draped a blanket around my shoulders.
" thank you." I said and he rubbed my back.
" I really did miss you hales."
" jay..."
" no haley I wanna talk about this. We have to."
" I know."
" I missed you. I wanted to talk about what happened and you never answered. You practically forced me to move on. Nobody would give me your address. I even went to cincinatti and I still couldn't find you."
I cut him off.
" wait you went to cincinatti?"
" yes."
" you never told me this."
" that's because when you came back you looked so happy. I haven't seen you happy in a while. I didn't want to ruin that."
" jay you should've told me."
" I'm telling you now aren't I?"
It was silent for a couple minutes.
" I still love you hales and I always will. But I'm not gonna step in the way between you and your happiness. I'm always here if you need me. You're my best friend Haley and I don't want to lose you but if jimmy makes you happy then I'm not gonna step in the way of that. So we can work together and everything but you have to give me some time to get over you. But if one day you decide the time is right than you let me know cause I'll be right here. I'm not going anywhere hales. As long as you're here I'm here. goodbye hales." He said and I had tears in my eyes but when he turned around jimmy was standing by his car. My heart dropped. Jimmy just stared him down.
" jimmy...." jay said
" Haley do you have anything you'd like to say to him?"
" jimmy don't do this."
" no I want to know Haley do you still have feelings for him."
" borelli cut the shit alright? You got her. You won now back off." Jay said and got in his car and drove away and I went inside.
" Haley!"
" jimmy please."
" no haley I need to know."
" why?" I asked crying
" because I don't want to be with a girl who's in love with another guy." He began to cry and so did I.
" jimmy I never meant to hurt you."
" that's just great hales. I guess kelly was right. We were never made to last cause jay was here all along."
" jimmy thats not fair. That's not why."
" prove it hales. Say right now that you don't have feelings for jay halstead. You tell me right now and I'll forget this ever happened and we'll go back to the way things were.only if you can say it hales but if you can't then we're done."
I was crying " jimmy..."
He sighed. A tear ran down his cheek. He walked over to me.
" it's okay hales. All good things have to come to an end. But all great things are yet to come." He said and kissed my head " goodbye Haley." He said and walked out.
