2 years later....

P was in kindergarten and still no sight of Haley. P was starting to ask about her but thank god Erin was around to distract her.

At work....

" hey have you figured out what you're gonna tell P?" Erin asked
" no idea. How do you tell a 5 year old that her mother never wanted her."
"You don't." Adam said "you lie."
My home went off.
"Speak of the devil." I said
" Peyton?" Adam asked
" no idiot, haley." Al said

From Haley:

Can we meet up?

To Haley:

From Haley:

Your place?

To Haley:

No. District. Lunch time

From Haley:

Thanks Jay

" what does she want?" Antonio asked
" to meet up. She's coming her at noon."
" we're here if you need us." Hank said
" thanks."

At lunch....

Platt came upstairs with Haley.
" ugh jay you've got a visitor."
" thanks searg." I said "interrogation room."
I let her go in.
" what do you need, money?" I asked
" I did everything that was asked of me. I'm healed I'm all better jay. I want to see my daughter."
I sat down
" you know she's around that age of starting to ask questions like, where do babies come from, what happens when people die, where's my mom."
" what's your point jay"
" she wants you in her life for some reason.. haley I don't know what to do."
" I'm sorry jay. I'm sorry I put you and our daughter through this. I'm sorry I hurt you. I just want my life back to the way it was. I love you jay and I miss you."
" I love you I knew it the minute I met you, I just don't know if I can do this all over again."
" well I'm asking for my job back today. I'm trying to prove to you I am who I used to be. I'm the girl you fell in love with."
" good I'm glad you say you're back. But you're right I need you to prove it."
" so can I see her?"
" I'll think about it." I said and walked out

End of shift...

" I just have one more announcement. Haley is coming back to the intelligence unit. She starts Monday." Hank said and everybody looked at me " it wasn't a decision made by him but we run it past him."
" she wants to get back on her feet. She wants to see P and I don't know what I was thinking. I told her I'd think about letting her see her." I said
" you're doing what's best for your daughter." Erin said and Adam put a hand on my shoulder. I really do hope I'm doing what's best for her and not putting her through what I went through.
