Chapter 8

It was the day of Justin's wedding. Everybody was getting ready. I didn't know if I wanted to go anymore. Jay and Jimmy would both be there.  A knock came from my door and I opened it.  Hank. He gave me a look and I just stood there. I began to cry.
" hales, don't do this. It's okay."
" Hank..." I cried
" I know I know. Come on you got to get ready though. It's your brothers wedding day and he wants you there. It doesn't matter who else is there. This day is for them and us. The family is going to be happy and proud and we're all going to be there to watch justin and Olive get married. I know it's gonna be hard but you gotta get dressed okay? So go ahead and get ready I'll wait."
" it's no use anyway. The wedding starts soon and I don't even have anything done."
" what do you mean?"
" my hair, make up, dress." He cut me off
" I got that covered. Come on in guys." I heard him say and Gabby, Erin, brett, Matt, kelly and the rest of the guys except Jimmy and jay came into my apartment.
" hey." Kelly said
" hi."
He hugged me
" it's gonna be okay hales I promise it all works out in the end."
" come on lets go get you ready." Erin said and i followed them.

At the wedding...

Erin and I went and knocked on Justin's door.
" wow you clean up nice." I said.
" hales! I heard are you okay?" Justin asked giving me a hug
" of course I am it's your wedding day and that's all that matters right now."
" how's Olive?"
" she's just fine. She can't wait to see you." Erin said
The door opened
" girls we gotta get going." Hank said
" we'll see you up there. Good luck Justin we love you." Erin said
" I'm so proud of you. We all are. You did good." I said and walked out. Jay was one of Justin's best men.
" Ruzek switch with jay." Erin said."
" what why?" He asked. He was walking with burgess.
" because I said so." Erin said
" no it's okay. I'll be fine." I said
" you sure?"
" yeah. Gotta deal with it sometime." I said. Jay walked up next to me.
" you ready?" He asked
" yes."
" you look beautiful by the way."
" thank you."

The music started to play and we started to walk down the aisle. Justin was already there. I smiled at him and went to my side. Then the music began to play and Olive and her dad walked towards us. She looked beautiful.

At the reception....

" Haley I can't believe how much you've grown up! It was so good to see you!" some lady said

"yeah you too!" I said back and turned towards Erin.

"who was that?" I asked

"no idea." we laughed.

" Family Picture!" Hank chirped. We all lined up and smiled and then it was time for the first bride and groom dance, then the father daughter dance. Jay came up to me.

"Can I have this dance?" he asked

I hesitated. " Hales, I know this is rough for you but it's just a dance. you really gonna leave a handsome guy like me hanging? I got dressed up for this."

I laughed and stood up and went to the dance floor.  Jimmy was dancing with Brett, Gabby with matt, Kelly and erin.

"so are you okay?" he asked

" can we not talk about this here."

"yes of course, sorry." he said.

"May I cut in." kelly asked

Jay backed off and kelly cut in.

"How's my sis?"

"she's alright."

" Are you sure hales"

" yeah. I'll figure everything out. I always do."

The rest of the night everyone danced with eachother.  At the end of the night Brett came up to me.

"Haley I don't want you to be mad at me, that dance meant nothing."

"Brett.. it's fine. If you guys want to date go ahead. We broke up. I'm not worried about it." I said

"really?"

"really." I laughed

Jimmy came over. "Brett you ready to go?"

"yeah. Bye Hales."

"bye." I said and I felt my heart drop. Jay came over to me.

"come on I'll bring you home."

"actually let's go to your place."

"Hales..."

"I'm fine jay, i promise you."
