5 years later....

Nobody POV:

" well you guys I have an announcement." Hank said and they all turned their attention to him " Haley Halstead is coming back to visit. We all know she left unexpectedly after the birth of Jay but she is coming to see us all. She should be here shortly. Hold back on the comments about how you haven't seen her since she left alright?"
Platt came up the stairs.
" you will not believe what the cat dragged in." She said and Haley appeared at the top of the stairs with 3 kids right behind her.
" GRANDPA!" P yelled and ran towards Hank and gave him a hug. The rest followed.
" Haley." Hank said
" Hank." She said back and they hugged.
Haley made her rounds.
" my god they got big how old are they now?" Adam asked
" well believe it or not Peyton is about to be 21 and Brooke is about to be 17 and Jay will be 6. "
" god, time flies." Erin said
" yeah not always when you're having fun." Hales said
" so what have you been up to?" Antonio asked
" nothing much. Working." Haley said
" where?" Erin asked
" we're back in New York and I became a teacher at one of the colleges for criminal justice."
It was quiet for a few.
" well congrats really." Al said
" listen I didn't just come to say hi. I need to talk to everybody." She said
" yeah what's up." Hank said
" I'm dying." Haley said
" what?!" Erin asked
" I have a disease and they just recently gave me about two months to live. So I told them we were coming back here. Peyton I'm not worried about. She's almost done with school and has a steady boyfriend and already knows she wants to become a cop. Brooke on the other hand, she's about to be 17. Driving and getting her heart broken. And then Jay, he's too young to know what's going on. Peyton is an adult but Jay and Brooke aren't. They go to their godparents once I'm gone." Haley said

Erin POV:

My heart shattered. You could tell everybody was just as in shock.
" haley..." I said
" no I don't want I'm sorrys or anything I want to make sure my kids are in good hands."
" of course." Hank said and then I went to go talk to the kids.

" hey your mom just told us." I said
" yeah it's been like this for about a year now." Peyton said
" you alright?"
" yeah I mean I lost my dad when I was younger and now my mom but I'll be alright."
" yeah you will be but if you need anything the 21st district is your home."

Adam POV:

I was walking around with Haley and the guys and she stopped.
" you alright?" I asked
" this is where it all happened for the first time. The heartache and the happiness. All of it. Being in the hallway, feels like it was yesterday. I wake up sometimes and I miss it. But this is good. It's all still here."
" always will be. The spirit of you and Jay. That will always be here even if you're not." Hank said
Haley started to cry.
" it's okay. We've got it." Antonio said and I gave her a hug.
" it's gonna be alright."
