When I walked through the front door of my apartment, Roy was asleep on the couch with the television still on. I rolled my eyes and used my power to put a blanket over my brother and turn off the tv. I went to my room and grabbed one of my giant t-shirts and crawled into my small bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep, dreaming of the strange man's green eyes. When I woke up Roy and the jeep were gone

"he went to school already, that's odd I'm always awake first" I thought to myself as I got ready for work.

I walked into my little coffee shop and put some coffee on the pot before all the business men and woman came in for there daily caffeine.It was a little ways after the rush hour before a black man wearing an eye patch walked into my store.

"hello, what can I get you today?" I asked politely.He stared at me with his one good eye

"Are you Aceleve Hart?" he asked shortly

"depends on who's asking the question" I answered.

the man pulled out a official looking badge

"my name is Director Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D, now are you Aceleve Hart?"

"yea, what do you want?" I asked.

he put his badge away

"I've come asking for your help, and you really don't have a say in the matter, now if you'll please follow me" he said turning away.

"now wait hold on a second, what do I get in return?" I asked

Fury leaned against the counter

"well for starters I can make all of your financial problems disappear"

I stared at him and crossed my arms over my chest

"so what am I helping you with?"

"something called the Avengers Initiative, I'll explain everything when we get to S.H.I.E.L.D base".

I sighed and nodded and followed him out the door,locking it behind me.

Fury and I walked out to his official secrete agent looking black Tahoe, he opened the passenger side for me then went to his own driver side.

He pulled out of the parkinglot.

"so wheres this base at?"

"that's classifyed"he said shortly.

I sighed and stared out the window.

I must have fallen asleep becuase when I felt the car lurch to a stop (almost falling out of my seat) we were at a great open grassland

I got out of the car and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a helicopter in the empty grassland before me.

I quickly jumped into the air and flew to the helicopter. I flew into the helicopter and sat down.

"so you can fly?" a voice asked.

I looked up from buckling the seat belt and it was, holy shit talk about fan girl moment it was Tony Stark!! eeepp!!

"um yea that's kinda what I do"i told him, keeping my cool.Tony smiled

"nice, I'm Stark, Tony stark" Tony winked at me.

"yea I know, iron man,protector of California, big fan I'm Ace Hart" I told him.

"nice, you'll meet the rest of the Avengers when we get back to the S.H.I.E.L.D. base" he told me. I nodded and stared out the window. When we finally landed we were in the middle of the ocean on a giant floating metal platform. I followed Tony and Fury to the middle of the platform where a woman with short Red hair was standing.

"hey, you must be the new girl" she greeted me then all of the sudden a blaring beeping noise came on through the loud speakers.

"what's happening?" I shouted.

then a loud screeching noise happened and all around me giant metal walls came up around me and the whole craft was shaking. Before I could fall I gently lifted myself into the air, slightly hovoring over the ground. when the shaking finished and we all regained our senses I quickly flew over to one of the giant glass windows and looked out, sure enough we were thousands of feet above the ocean, flying. the giant ocean submarine turned into a giant aircraft, only at S.H.I.E.L.D. I suppose.

"hey kid, come on I gotta meeting to begin" Fury yelled.

I took one last look out the window and flew over to Fury,Tony, and the red haired woman.We walked into a big room with a giant clear table, sitting at the table were 5 people.

"Ace,these are your new team mates Clint or Hawkeye, Captain America or also Steve,the hulk or Dr.Bruce, you already met Tony and this, who you just met is Natasha also named the black widow. And you six are the Avengers, all of you have something interesting about yourself and you guys will be the protectors of the universe, whether you like it or not are we understood" he asked.

we all nodded in agreement.

"I apologize for being late friends, the man of iron gave terrible directions" a man said with a deep voice. I turned to look at who talked, he had blonde hair and blue eyes and I instantly knew it was the Thor character Loki told me about, only because of the way he talked.

"I'm sorry you were mis-informed, I'm glad you could get it figured out" Fury said sarcasticly.

"Thor,meet your newest teammate, Ace" Fury told him.

Thor smiled at me and gently took my hand and kissed my knuckle. I blushed and took my hand back

"nice to meet you"I told him

"likewise"

I turned away from him and walked back over to Fury.

"alright, you told me the Avengers thing, anything else I need to do?"

"yea, in one week you will be going to new Mexico with Thor to the S.H.I.E.L.D. main base to get you officially logged into the main computers, Thor will be your escort"

I nodded

"you can just email me the rest of the details" I told him.

"Alright then,meeting dismissed" Fury said.

"so, um how do I get out if here?" I asked

"well, that depends do you want a helicopter ride down?" he asked

"nah I'd rather fly"

Fury nodded

"alright then, down the hall to the left and it's the door with the big red handle"he told me.

I nodded and followed his directions.

I found the door and yanked it open, the wind that poured into the cabin pushed me back. I took a few running steps forward and jumped into the free, open air.
