chapter 3

I walked through the front door of my apartment around five and got a text from Loki saying he'll be here around six to come get me, and that means I have only an hour to get ready! I quickly threw my keys onto the counter and I found a note,

"Ace, I'm going to Josh's house to watch the OKC Thunder game, won't be back till late. oh and btw I took ten bucks out of the tip jar, have fun" I rolled my eyes and put the note down and ran to my bathroom to get ready for my date.

a little time later

I took one last look in the mirror before I answered the door, I was wearing a really nice black sleeveless corset dress that went to my knees with my black lace up ankle boots with black tights and a thin black lace sleeved jacket thing that went about the top of my rib cage. I answered the door and Loki stood dressed in dark blue jeans, dark green converse(I honostly wasn't expecting that) a Dark green button up shirt with the top buttons open and he was holding a single black rose.

"hey" he said while cockily smiling.

"hi" I answered.

Loki handed me the rose and I blushed, it smelt nice like an actual rose but also it smelt sharp and sweet, like Loki.

"shall we go?" he asked me

I smiled and nodded

"just a sec" I told him. I ran inside and gently put the rose on the counter, I ran back outside where Loki was leaning against the wall, with his arms crossed, looking completely sexy.

"ready now" I told him.

he gently took my hand and pulled me behind him to his car. we rode to a beautiful Italian restaurant with gorgeous dark mood lighting and deep red velvet curtains covering large windows and candles lighting every table that smelt like lavender. The hostess led us to our table with a kind smile and told us our waiter would be with us shortly. Loki pulled out my chair for me and I waited until he had folded his napkin in his lap before speaking.

"so, today I officially started your mission" I began.

"good, tell me about it"

I nodded

"well, next week Thor and I are going to New Mexico to get me officially sighned into the avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D and then Thor and Nick Fury were talking about something along the lines of Thor going back to Asguard, I honestly wasn't paying all that attention because I didn't know what it was all about" I told him. Loki stared off into space for a few seconds and I sat there awkwardly.

"you said that Thor was in Asguard?" He asked.
"No, I think he said that he was going there soon"
The waitress arrived with our wine and Loki paused, staring at her wearily.

"is that all?" he asked, the waitress was gone before he continued.

I nodded

"pretty much"

Loki stard off into space, drumming his fingers on the table, deep in though.

I sighed and twirled the hem of my dress in my fingers, Loki didn't seem to be in the mood for conversation. What a date this was.

The waitress came and gone with our food and I just picked at my lobster absently

Loki finally spoke

"Ace, when did Thor say he was leaving?" Loki asked

I shrugged "I don't know I left before he did"

loki sighed

"well Ace, you really did a good job today, getting the information and everything, I want you to keep working as my agent, do you understand?"

I nodded and swallowed my bite

"sure as long as you keep up your side of the deal" I told him.

Loki smiled

"yes, of course"

we finished our dinner making normal conversation about current events and random topics.

sometime later, after dinner

When Loki pulled up to my apartment, he walked around the car to open my door for me and I smiled in thanks. He offered me his elbow and I took it in nervous hands as he walked me to the door.

"thank you for dinner" I said.

Loki smiled and kissed my knuckles

"thank you for joining me at dinner"

I smiled and looked into Loki's green eyes.

Loki gently put his cold hand on the back of my neck and tilted my head up.

He slowely bent down and I closed my eyes, I felt the gentle, hesitant touch of his lips on mine, they are ice cold like his hands. When I didn't pull away he got more confident and deepened the kiss, I put my hands around his neck and I felt his hands travel down the middle of my back. It almost got interesting when Roy opened the door

"oh god, oh man im so sorry"

i smiled and pulled away reluctantly. I turned to Roy

"what, it's not like you haven't done worse" I said.

Roy put his hands up in mock surrender

"hey I never said I didn't I just didn't expect my sister to be lip-locking with someone iv never met first"

I rolled my eyes

"oh please, last I remember I'm five years older than you, I dont need your permission to go on a date"

I ignored Roy's last comment and turned to Loki

"hey I'll call you tomorrow ok?" Loki smiled and walked off my porch and into his car and I watched him drive off.
