The last few weeks with Harper have been pure bliss but in my experience  good things never last and i was right.

Right now i'm having to have an entire new security system installed it seems we have had an uninvited guest prowling  around. But to my dissatisfaction the son of a bitch manages to elude my guards.

Harper thinks im being to over protective. I know that he doesn't like the idea of being watched constantly but after the message that was left behind i need to do everything in my power to keep him safe.

Flash back

Two days ago i had taken Harper out to dinner with the intention of introducing him to a few friends and their partners who  were  also in the life style. I thought that it would be a good opportunity  for him to get to  know a few other subs  so  he would feel more comfortable about going out to the clubs  when the time came.

Before we even entered the restaurant i received a call from my head of security to inform me that they had chased  an intruder off my  property.

So to harpers disappointment and mine i had to cut the evening short and return home. Upon my arrival  i was asked to avoid the front entrance which worried me what the hell had happened?

As we entered the house Marcus my head of security was their to meet me with a grim look upon his face. Sitting Harper on a stool  i kissed his forehead and asked him to wait there until i had found out exactly what had happened.

He smiled and nodded in understanding as I turned and followed Marcus.

" What the fuck happened we were  only gone half an hour?"

Marcus shook his head and lead me towards  the front doors.

"It seems there was more than one culprit. We heard a loud crash from upstairs, your bedroom to be exact. When the guards approached the room they saw an intruder dressed in black  jump from the veranda. They then took off running in the direction of the woods with four other guards in pursuit but the guy was fast he managed to escape."

I scowled at him as i took in the information  what the hell were they doing in my bedroom?.

" Did they take anything"?

" No sir it seems that the culprit up stairs was a distraction"

 "A  distraction for what?"   

" For this sir"

My heart froze as  he opened the door there written in what could only be described as blood was a message, TAKE FROM ME AND ILL TAKE WHATS YOURS.

Below the message  was a clear plastic bag pinned to the door.

"whats in that?"

I asked as Marcus pulled out the knife  pinning it to the door.

"It seems to be a finger sir"

Snatching the bag from his hand i opened it in fear of who's finger was inside. My heart started pounding out of my chest as i lifted the small index finger from the bag. I stared wide eyed as the ring slid free from the small digit clattering against the  tiled floor. I knew whos  ring this was  i had been the one to buy it, it belonged to Reese my baby brother.

I had  my entire security team out looking for my kid brother and thankfully he was at boarding school safe and sound. He informed me he was attacked and his wallet and jewellery were stolen earlier that day. I was furious that he hadn't let me know but he told me it was nothing so he didn't want to bother me.

Then i did what i do best i yelled at him and made him cry.  After i had calmed down i arranged a car to go pick him up and bring him home. Here is where he will stay until we found out who was behind the sick stunt  and dealt with them appropriately.

Getting up from my desk i make my way to the lounge i can here Harper and Reese talking away about what happened. Neither one know about the finger and the bloody message but neither one are stupid enough to believe that all of the security  we have is over a stolen ring.

As i approach the sofa Harpers head snaps up at me he smiled wearily as i sat down beside him.

" So...... what are you two up to?" I ask with a raised brow.

He lowers his head and looks down at his fingers with a slight blush upon his cheek. I love how having me near effects him .Teasingly i place my hand upon his thigh  I chuckle as his body tenses slightly and move my hand slightly higher.

"Are you going to tell me little one"?

His head snapped up with a glare.

" don't  call me that"

He said with a frown.

" Im not little".

I burst out laughing  as he pouted up at me .

"No " running my fingers teasingly over his semi erect cock.

"Your really not"

I whispered in his ear. His already flushed face  grew a deeper shade of red a little more teasing and i had a feeling he would melt.

I wrapped my arm around his waist  and pulled him roughly onto my lap pressing close against me.

"So what were you guys talking about?"

He looked up at me still slightly pouting. Raising my brow i asked once again .

"W-we were talking about the break in and what happened to Reese . W-we were thinking it could be connected."

Letting out a big sigh i pulled him in to my chest holding him close. Looking over at Reese i smiled reassuringly.

"It's gonna be okay guys its just some idiot trying to mess with us. "

Rubbing Harpers back reassuringly i kissed his head.

"I promise i wont let anything happen to either of you  we will find who pulled this shit and deal with them."

When i find them i will do more than deal with them they laid there hands on my kid brother and freaked my lover out. When i find them they will wish to fucking god they were never born. I thought as i held Harper close no fucking way would they get away with this shit.
