Joey's POV

I walk back to the car with a smile on my face. I get into the driver's seat.

Nicole: What the hell took you so long?

Joey: I... ran into a friend.

I smile to myself for calling him my friend. Oh how lucky I was to find his phone!

Brittany: What friend?

She looked at me skeptically. She knows everything about me. I guess I'll have to keep this from her.

Joey: An old one I haven't talked to in a while.

She gave me a look saying 'we'll talk more later'. I sighs me start up the car.

We are halfway home when my phone vibrates in my back pocket. Who is it?

When I stop at a red light I check it. It's Shane. I blush and put the phone away immediately. I look back up and keep driving.

Once we get home Brittany drags me up to my bedroom. She shuts the door.

Brittany: Spill it. Who is it?

Joey: Ok. I ran into Shane.

Brittany: Alone?

Joey: Yes.

Brittany: Oh my god! What did you say?! What did you talk about?!

Joey: Nothing really. Shane is really funny though.

Brittany: Did you ask him out? Did anything happen?

Joey: No.

I had to lie. She can't know anything. Even about that kiss.

Brittany: Too bad he's leaving. But I'm sure you can get a job and buy tickets again.

Joey: Yeah. Well goodnight Brittany.

Brittany: Bye Joey!

She leaves. I lay down in my bed. I close my eyes. Sometime later I get woken up by my phone vibrating. I pull it back out and read the text.

Shane: Why are you ignoring me? I thought you loved me Joey. :(

Joey: Sorry! I fell asleep.

Shane: Did you dream about me? ;)

Joey: Yes actually.

Shane: What was it about?

I blush. It was the kiss. But on my lips. Should I tell him that? But I want to know about that kiss.

Shane's POV

Joey: Why did you kiss me?

Crap. I don't even know. I just did it because I wanted to. I now realize I can't do that.

Ugh. I'm horrible with relationships.

Maybe I should just be honest...

But what if something bad happens?

What if he doesn't like me back?

But then again, what if he does?

Could we go out? Would he want to go out?

Why do I make everything so complicated? I should just tell him.

But then again. A celebrity having a crush on you?

That's a lot to take in. Plus you'd have to tell someone. No way he'd keep it a secret for long. And how do I know he hasn't given away my phone number yet?

Oh Shane! Just do it! Take a risk!

Shane: Because I like you Joey.

Sent.

Now I prepare for the worst. But I pray for the best.
