Chapter 32- Ok

Brittany's POV

I grabbed my homework and I ran out of the school hoping to catch up with Joey.

As I walked back to where I left him I noticed something on the ground a block or two away. I walked quickly towards it.

I noticed it was a body. I walked faster.

I noticed it was Joey. I ran like my life depended on it. I saw Joey with a knife in his side and blood pouring out of the wound.

I looked around. No one was here but someone had to have stabbed him. I quickly dialed 911. An ambulance would come soon.

I didn't know what to do. I held his hand and squeezed it.

Shane!

I'll have to call him when we get to the hospital. The ambulance came and I got in. I called our moms to tell them where we were. They were both very worried. Even Nicole was.

When we got to the hospital I was told to stay in the waiting room. Soon our moms and Nicole came. Joey's mom went to talk to a nurse.

Mom: Are you ok?

Brittany: Yeah. I should probably call Joey's boyfriend though.

Nicole: He's still dating Shane?

Brittany: Yeah.

I stepped away and called Shane. He picked up and I heard his voice.

Shane: Hello?

Shane's POV

Brittany: Hey...

It was Brittany. I haven't talked to her in a while. She sounded upset though.

Shane: What's wrong?

Lisa: Shane! 10 minutes!

Brittany: Well... Something happened to Joey.

Shane: Did one of my fans hurt him? If they did I swear to god I will-

Brittany: No. Not exactly.

Shane: Just tell me what's going on.

Brittany: Someone...

She started to cry. My heart raced. Did something really bad happen to him?

Brittany: Someone stabbed him. We're in the hospital right now.

Shane: Oh my god! Is he ok?!

I felt tears coming from me. My boyfriend was just f*cking stabbed!

Brittany: I don't know. Wait. I'll ask.

It was silent for a minute. Then she came back still crying.

Brittany: They said he's in surgery and they don't know how he'll recover.

Shane: Oh my god.

Brittany: If I didn't find him... Shane he could've died on the sidewalk. Oh my god! If I didn't forget my stupid homework he wouldn't have gotten hurt!

Shane: Don't blame yourself.

Brittany: Are you ok?

Shane: I'll be fine. I gotta go. Bye...

Brittany: Bye... I'll text you updates when I get some.

I hung up and collapsed onto the couch. I began balling my eyes out. I heard Lisa walk in.

Lisa: Shane. What's wrong?

Shane: C-cancel the concert... I can't do it... I can't...

Lisa: What happened? Take deep breaths.

I calm down a little but I was still full of so many emotions. I didn't want to lose my boyfriend.

Shane: Joey was stabbed and now he's in the hospital.

Lisa: Oh my god. I'm so sorry Shane... And I don't wanna sound like a bitch but we can't cancel this concert. You have to do it. Do it for him.

I cried a little more but I nodded. I'll do this for Joey.

Shane: But can we visit him? I need to make sure he's ok.

Lisa: Sure. I think we can there in two days. Hang on until then.

We walk to the side of the stage. I was still crying. Lisa had to calm me down and wipe the tears from my face.

Lisa: Just two days Shane. Then you can be there while he recovers.

Shane: Read the updates Brittany is sending.

Lisa: Got it. Now go.

I know Joey will be ok. He has to be. He won't die Shane. Don't even think like that.

He will be ok.
