Chapter 24- You're Famous

Joey's POV

I wake up to Shane's lips being pressed against my forehead and him shaking my shoulders gently.

Joey: What?

Shane: We need to talk real quick.

Joey: I don't feel like talking to you...

Shane: I'm sorry Joey... I just want you to know that I don't have any feelings for Luke anymore and the only reason we had sex was because I was drunk and he took advantage of me.

Joey: So you still like me?

Shane: Of course. And I want to get back together with you. So Joey, will you be my boyfriend again?

Joey: Yes!

I quickly grabbed his cheeks and pulled him close enough so that I could kiss him. He kissed back right away. Then we both pulled away and just stared at each other.

Lisa: Shane! We gotta go!

Joey: You're leaving?

I didn't want him to go. I just wanted to snuggle with him. He gave me a smile.

Shane: Yep and you're coming with me.

He grabs my hand and we start walking towards my bedroom door. I'm so confused and worried. I stop him.

Joey: I can't go! There's no way my mom would let me!

Shane: You're cute when you're clueless.

Joey: Huh?

Shane: We already asked your mom. She's fine with it. And Brittany is coming too.

Joey: Really?

Shane: Yeah. Let's go. We can't our flight.

I smile and follow him downstairs. Lisa and Brittany are already in Brittany's car. Shane and I sit in the back.

Brittany: You're up sleeping beauty!

Joey: Shut up and drive!

She laughed. I scooted closer to Shane. I leaned my head onto his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me even closer.

When we got to the airport we rushed through security and made it onto the plane just in time.

Shane and I got to sit together and Brittany and Lisa sat together a few rows back.

When we sat down I noticed some teenage girls pointing at Shane and I. They looked like they were talking about us. Shane tried to grab my hand but I slid my hand away from his.

Shane: What's wrong?

Joey: I think the girls over there recognize us.

Shane: Oh well.

Joey: You don't care if you're seen with me in public?

Shane: You're my boyfriend. Why should I care?

Joey: You might not want your fans to know that you're dating me.

Shane: Shut up. I like you and I don't give a shit if anyone sees.

He smiles then leans down to give me a kiss. I swear to god I heard one of those girls take a picture with her phone. I panicked and Shane could tell.

Shane: Calm down. Who cares if they have pictures?

Joey: I do! People back home could see and-

He cuts me off by kissing me. I hear them take more pictures. Maybe it isn't a big deal. I relax and kiss Shane back. He pulls away knowing that I feel better.

Shane: You'll be famous once this plane lands you know.

Joey: Really?

Shane: Those pictures are definitely all of the internet now.

Joey: Geez... I'm not sure I'll like all of the attention.

Shane: I don't like it either. But don't worry. Lisa has got us covered.

For the rest of the plane ride I rest my head on his shoulder and ignore the girls that are taking pictures. I don't care what happens as long as I'm with Shane.

We get off the plane holding hands. And I finally experience what it feels like to be famous. Tons of his fangirls try to surround us and other people are taking pictures.

I knew it was matter of time before people recognized me from the first picture but the picture the girls on the plane took spread even faster. I tried not to panic. This was very overwhelming.

I don't like being in front of large groups of people. I began to feel sick and dizzy. I clung to Shane's arm. He quickly got us into the cab Lisa and Brittany were already in.

Shane: You ok babe?

Joey: Yeah. I am now.

Shane: well get used to that if you ever want to hang out with me.

I laugh. We hold hands the whole drive to our hotel. We had 3 hours to relax before he had to preform. This will be the first time I'll get to be with at a concert. I was excited.
