Joey's POV

Shane: I hate to ruin the moment but babe, it's time.

I felt tears escape my eyes. I couldn't fight it. This was his job. He has to go.

Shane: Shh. Babe please don't cry.

Joey: I'm trying.

Shane: You'll be ok. It's not too long.

Joey: I know. I'm sorry.

Shane: Don't apologize.

We sit up. He hugs me. I wrap my arms tightly around his waist and bury my face in his shoulder. I start to cry again. Shane rubs my back.

I calm down and pull away from his hug. He smiles at me and gives me a kiss.

Lisa: Shane! It's time to go!

He stood up and took my hand. We walked downstairs together. We got into the car that Brittany was driving. I'm glad she'll be there when Shane leaves. I'm sure I'll be a mess.

We get to the airport. Shane and I have a few minted left to talk.

Shane: Joey I'll call you when I land. I promise.

Joey: I'm going to miss you.

Shane: I know. And promise me that if anyone hurts you again you'll tell me?

Joey: I promise. I love you.

Shane: I love you too. I'll see you soon babe.

He hugged me and kissed me and then left. Brittany walked over and hugged me.

Brittany: Come on. Let's go home.

I miss him so much already. I wish I could have another kiss.

Brittany takes me home. I lay down on my bed alone. I wish Shane was here.

I fall asleep and wake up in the early morning to my phone ringing. I shut my eyes and ignore it. It stops ringing for a minute and starts ringing again.

I reached over and pick up my phone. I see Shane's name.

Shane!

Joey: Shane?

Shane: Hey babe. How's it going? Why didn't you pick up the first time?

Joey: It's 3am. I was asleep.

Shane: Oh. I'm sorry I woke you.

Joey: It's fine. I miss you.

Shane: Me too. Are you ok?

Joey: Yeah. Surprisingly I'm fine. Of course I'm sad you had to go but I'll be fine for now.

Shane: Well you should get some sleep. Call me later ok?

Joey: Ok. I love you.

Shane: I love you too. Goodnight.

He hangs up. I set down my phone and fall back asleep. I wake up later in the morning. Unfortunately I don't have school the day after Shane leaves.

I lay around all day listening to his songs and staring at pictures of us kissing. I feel kinda depressed.

Why did I have to fall for Shane? He's amazing but we're always apart. Also we get so much unwanted attention because he's famous.

I just want to be normal again...
