Joey's POV

The next day I felt better. I went to school and barely anyone bothered me.

I felt great. I couldn't stop smiling. Brittany looked at me weirdly.

Brittany: Why are you so happy today?

Joey: Haven't you noticed? No one has been bothering me today. And I'm not sick. And I just feel happy because I'm thinking about my amazing boyfriend.

Brittany: Rub it in my face.

Joey: Sorry. But I just hope this lasts. You know my birthday is in three weeks.

Brittany: Ooh! What do you want?

Joey: My boyfriend.

Brittany: Well no one can guarantee that.

Joey: Then I want tickets to see my boyfriend.

Brittany: Anything else I can afford?

Joey: Uh... Nope. I just want to see my boyfriend.

Brittany: You're impossible Joey.

I stick out my tongue at her. We both laugh.

Later when I go home I call Shane. I'm happily surprised when he picks up right away.

Shane: Hey babe. How was your day?

Joey: Perfect! Almost no one bothered me! And Brittany and I talked about what I wanted for my birthday.

Shane: Oh. What do you want?

Joey: My boyfriend.

Shane: Aww. I wish I could be there but I can't. I'm too busy. Sorry babe.

Joey: Well the next thing I wanted was tickets to see you.

Shane: You're too cute. I guess I can try to get you tickets. No promises though.

Joey: Fine. I miss you like always.

Shane: I know you do. I feel the same. But I'm glad we're getting through this. Most long distance relationships don't work out.

Joey: I'll keep waiting for you babe.

Shane: I'll try to do something for your birthday ok? I love you. Bye.

Joey: I love you too. Bye.

I hope I can see him soon. I really miss him and everyday without him is miserable.

*The Next Day*

I went to school. People seemed to be getting over me and Shane. Well our relationship at least.

Today was a happy day again.

Brittany: Wanna walk home?

Joey: Sure! Let's go girl.

We started walking home then Brittany panicked.

Brittany: Crap! I forgot my homework! I gotta get it!

Joey: Want me to go back with you?

Brittany: No. Just go home. See ya!

She ran back towards the school to grab her homework. Why did she make such a big deal about it? It's just homework.

I walked about another block before I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around expecting Brittany.

But instead I saw a blurry figure before I felt a sharp pain and I passed out.
