Lexie's POV
Me and James sat outside in complete and awkward silence. I finally spoke up. "Well... What did you want to talk about?" I asked as I turned my head to look at James. He smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. "We'll, uh, I-I justwantedtosayilikeyou." He rushed out in one breathe. Did I just hear him correctly? No fucking way! James like me?! I started smiling widely. He looked flustered and started rushing out words that I couldn't understand. "James! James calm down." I chuckled at his actions. "Well D-do you l-like me?" He whispered shyly. My gosh though I don't think he understands that I've loved him since the first grade. "Yes James I do l-like you." His face lit up when I said that. I had so many butterfly's in my stomach. We were silent for a minute than he started to talk. "Lexie when you went missing I thought I was never going to see you again." His voice cracked when he said that. "Lexie I never want you to leave like that again." I suddenly got so sad because I remembered that I was only going to be here for to weeks and then I was going to LA with Demi. I felt tears spring to my eyes when I thought about that. "Lexie what's the matter?" He asked confused.
"James I'm moving, I-I'm only going to be here for 2 more w-weeks." I was now hysterically crying. James moved closer to me and hugged me. I hugged him back I wiped the tears out of my eyes. James grabbed my wrist and I winced in pain. He looked at me kinda concerned.
"Lexie..?" He slowly said. I pulled my wrist back and looked down. 'He can't find out.' I said in my head. "Lexie... Please let me see your wrists." He pleaded with desperation in his voice. Silent tears started sliding down my face. "Uh.. Uh.. Fine." I whispered to him. I turned to him and looked into his eyes. I watched how anger, sadness, guilt flashed threw his eyes. "Oh Lexie..." He whispered. He pulled my sleeve back down. Tears brimmed his eyes as he pulled me in for a hug. His fingers ran through my hair, as he comforted me. He pulled back and took my face in his hands. Wiping away the tears that brought me pain. I saw his eyes flicker from my eyes to my lips, asking for permission. I nodded my head and that's all it took for James to smash his lips against mine.
He put his hands around my waist pulling me closer as my hands found their way into his hair. I couldn't help but smile into the kiss, thinking is he trying to kiss away the pain? If he is that just makes me love him so much more. His caring for me made me realize I can't be with out him. I've waited for this moment for so long and I fina-"Lexie? James? Are you guys oka- oh." Me and James flew apart from each other blushing like crazy. I looked up to see Demi smirking at us. "I see we have a lovely couple here huh?" She questions. I try and hide my smile but fail miserably. I looked over at James to see he is already staring at me. "As a matter of fact yes. Me and Lexie are together." I heard James speak up. Oh. My. Gosh. My dreams have come true. I couldn't stop the goofy smile that played on my face. Demi laughed and took us back inside to finish the party.
I guess good things really do happen.
