*****In The Court Room.****
Demi's POV
"Lexie it's going to be alright." I said through the pain. Lexie was gripping my hand with all her might. The judge was eyeing me and Lexie up curiously. There were just a couple minutes until the man the made Lexie's life hell walks into this room. For a little girl Lexie is very strong mentally and physically. I don't know how she does it I mean it's not like stuff like this happens and then next day you wake up and it's as if nothing even happened, like this is real and it's happening it's not some reality TV show. The sound of a door opening woke me up out of my thoughts. There stood Damian. He was wearing an orange uniform. We made direct eye contract and he smirked at me. Hello beautiful. He mouthed. My muscles tensed up. I'm not afraid to punch that asshole in the face again, but I know I have to behave myself because I don't feel like getting arrested for being violent. I mean what would happen to Lexie if I got sent away, it would kill her.
Bang! bang! bang! "I call this court to order." Judge Mandy yelled.
"Can I have Lexie to the stand?" Damian's lawyer asked. I don't know why his lawyer is even bothering like he's obviously guilty. Well I mean he is getting paid so and plus it's his job, but still it doesn't make sense.
Lexie stood up and gave me a pleading look.
"It's going to be alright." I whispered. I watched Lexie walk up and sit down. She glanced at Damian them instantly looked down.
"Now Lexie." The lawyer started. "Where were you and your family the night of January 12th?" Lexie's face turned pale, I'm guessing that was the night her parents got killed.
"At my house." She mumbled.
"And you say a loud sound woke you up. What was the sound?"
"A-a gun."
"Who has the gun?"
"Him." Lexie hissed.
"Which is?" Lexie turned from scared to angry no scratch that furious. Lexie was beyond mad right now.
"That monster there!" She yelled while pointing. "That murder who killed my parents and ruined my life!"
"LIAR SHES LYING!" Damian screamed.
"SHES JUST A WORTHLESS SLUT THAT WAS TRYING TO GET WITH ME!"
"THATS ENOUGH!" Judge Mandy yelled.
"Guards take him out of here!" The guards ran over to Damian's side and re hand cuffed him.
"WHEN I GET OUT OF HERE IM GONNA MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL ALEXIS!" Damian screamed as he was being dragged out the door.
There was a long period of silence before the judge talked again.
"After seeing that Damian is guilty."
Lexie ran down to me and jumped into my arms.
"We won we won!" Lexie cheered. I put Lexie down so we could be looking each other in the eye. Lexie's eyes were shining from tears of happiness.
"Lexie I'm so proud of you." Lexie got the cutest little smile on her face.
"I love you demi."
"I love you too baby girl."
