"Phil! Phil come on! Let's go do something!" Dan jumped up and made me wake up by sitting on my stomach.

I groaned. "Could you at least get off of my stomach?"

"Only if you pwomise to get up Philly." he replied, acting like a two year old.

I pushed Dan off of me, slightly annoyed because he was making me get a stomach ache. I went over to my bag and pulled out my sketchbook and pencil case. Drawing always made me happy and made me think that all of my problems were gone.

"Dan...sit." I instructed and grabbed a chair.

He gave me an odd look. "What do you want me to sit for?"

I held up my sketchbook. "I'm going to draw you."

"Oh....no Phil you really don't have to."

"Dan my dear," I began softly. "you really don't have a choice in this. I want to try to draw you."

"Can I try to draw you while you're drawing me?" Dan asked. "It'll be like draw-ception!"

Seeing how beautiful it was outside, I thought that we should go outside and find the perfect spot to sit. "Come on Danny! Let's go on an adventure!"

Dan smiled one of his breath taking smiles. The ones where his dimples made a full appearance.

"And where are we going to go love?"

"I'm not quite sure. I just think that it looks really pretty outside so I want to draw the trees as a background for your picture."

"How about we actually climb up a tree and draw each other!"

I sighed. "Why do you want me to climb a tree so much?"

"I don't know...but can we please? I would LOVE to draw you sitting in a tree while trying to draw me." he gave me an adorable face, complete with big eyes and a pouting face.

"Alright...just make sure I don't die."

"Yeah. Yeah I wanted you to die Phil."

I rolled my eyes. "I don't want to do this."

"You'll be fine." Dan laughed walking out the door with a canvas and his pencil case under his arm.

I picked up my own things and followed him outside to a tree that was standing just in front of our cabin. I held Dan's stuff while he climbed up then I passed both of our things and I slowly climbed. I don't like being too far from the ground, it made me feel like I was going to die. But I had Dan with me and he wouldn't let me fall...I hope.

"Alright Phil. You can sit across from me. You can lean on the trunk if you want. I'll just have to be careful..." Dan moved slowly pulling out a pencil. He looked like he was as scared as I was.

I did what he told me to do and I leaned against the tree trunk. I looked at Dan carefully and began to sketch. Everything had to be perfect because Dan was perfect. I looked up and saw him taking off his belt.

"What are you doing?" I asked curiously.

He looked up and grinned at me. "I'm putting my belt on me and the branch so that I won't fall."

"You could still fall. I think you mean that you won't fall right out of the tree." I replied.

Rolling his eyes Dan nodded. "Same thing Phil."

I continued my drawing rather than continue talking to Dan. It seemed like he wasn't in the mood for talking or he just didn't like to be corrected. Either way I didn't want him to get annoyed with me already. Eventually he would realize that I'm not the kind of person to be friends with and I would be left again. My plan to live through the next 3 years by myself would start again.
