After a while the race was finally on its way, pre race ceremonies were about to start and Landon didn't want to get out of the car. "Landon baby, you have to get out now." I said. "No." He said. "Landon if you want ice cream after you need to get out." I said. "Ice cream." He said before holding out his arms for me to get him out of the car. I stood beside Erik after he took Landon to hold him. After I took Landon back and went to the pit box. Landon was standing on the seat watching everything and boy he loved when Erik came to pit.

"Your winner here today is Erik Jones." The announcer said. "Daddy won mama." Landon said looking at me. "He did, do you want to go to victory lane?" I asked him. "Yeah go see him." Landon said. "Let's go." I said as Chris helped us down. After drinks were sprayed Landon went to Erik while he did his interview. "And we are here with Erik Jones who just won here at Iowa." The interviewer said. "It feels great, after the past few races." Erik said, they then continued to talk about the race. "And you have Landon with you, where's Zoey?" She asked. "She's around here somewhere, I think." He said. "Is there anything going on between you two?" The interviewer asked. "Nothing to be concerned about we are trying to work things out for Landon." He said. "Ok, well hope everything is well between you two no matter what happens, have fun and celebrate now." The interviewer said before leaving.

Erik and Landon celebrated while I stood back and watched them and after everything died down in victory lane Erik came to find me and give me back Landon until we went home. "Hey Lan, did you have fun?" I asked. "Yeah." He said smiling. "Well now we can go to bed." I told him. "No bed." He said. "Bye Erik, I'll see you tomorrow." I said looking at him. "Bye daddy." Lan said before we left. "You have to do to bed so you won't be tired tomorrow." I told him. "I want daddy." He said. "Tomorrow baby I promise." I said before we went back to the RV and I put him to bed. I was watching TV when there was a knock at the door.

"Oh, hey Erik." I said opening the door and letting him in. "I can't stand being away from you." He said. "I-I need some time, I need to make sure I really do love you and don't just want Landon's family together even if that means we don't actually love each other." I told him. "When will you know?" He asked looking at me. "I'll come to the race next weekend for Landon, and tell you what I'm thinking." I told him. "Can we celebrate, in case you realize you don't love me?" He asked. "What about Landon?" I asked. "We will just have to be quiet then." He said closing the distance and kissing me. We ended up in the bedroom and one thing led to another.

I woke up the next morning with Erik laying beside me. "Erik, get up you have to leave before Landon wakes up." I told him. "Alright." He replied getting up then getting dressed and leaving. "Mommy?" Landon asked. "Yes baby?" I questioned. "I'm hungry." He said. "Alright come on I'll make us food." I said going to the kitchen wondering what to make. After breakfast we went to get ready and pack everything then we went to find Erik and we went home. "I am going to see JH and Joe and bringing Landon with me on monday, you can take him Tuesday and Wednesday to the shop and then I take him until Saturday where we will all be at the track." I told him. "That sounds good." He said giving Landon a kiss and then leaving. "Here we are back at great uncle Joe's house." I said to Landon.

"Daddy's house." He said. "We can't right now." I said. "Why?" He asked. "Because mommy and daddy are not living together right now, I have to make sure I love him like I love you." I told him. "Oh ok daddy's next week?" He asked. "Maybe, I'll tell you when I find out." I said. "Ok mommy." He replied before I got JH's truck and went to Erik's apartment to get mine and Landon's things. "Hey Erik, I'm here to get our things." I told him bringing baskets with me Landon was with JH so I could do this. "Alright, need help?" He asked. "If you don't mind." I replied handing him the baskets. "Landon's room?" He asked. "Yeah, please." I told him before going to get all of my things.

"So I'll see you on Tuesday?" I questioned after everything was packed. "Yeah, I guess I will see you Tuesday." He said before I left. "When are we seeing daddy?" Landon asked after I picked him up and unpacking my stuff in the basement of Joe's house. "In a little while, but we have to go see grandma and grandpa now." I said. "Ok go see grama and grapa." He replied so we went back to Joe's house and unpacked then went to go visit my parents graves. "Why aren't grama and grapa in the same place?" Landon asked. "Because you know how me and daddy were not together before?" I asked him. "Yeah." He replied. "Well grandma and grandpa were not together when they were alive." I told him.

"Why?" He asked. "Because grandpa loved racing and grandma didn't, she went with great grandpa one day and she met grandpa and they had me." I told him. "Why aren't they here now?" He asked. "Because grandpa hit the wall when he was racing one day and got hurt really really badly and then he didn't make it after the crash and grandma got really really sick." I told him. "Are you sad?" He asked me. "Yeah grandma and grandpa where my mommy and daddy." I told him. "Oh really?" He asked me. "Yeah really." I told him. "Oh." He replied before I got to where my dad was. "Ok, let's go see grandpa." I said getting out of the car and then getting Landon.
