Phone Calls and News Chapter 32

"What are we doing for the two week break?" I asked. "My mom wants to see Landon." Erik told me. "Ok, are you taking him there, I don't want to go." I told him. "It's ok you don't want to come, it's the perfect way to tell my mom she's having two more grand-babies." He said. "Yeah, JH told me he was going to drive to Talladega and Martinsville so I was thinking about going with him." I told Erik. "Alright that sounds good." He replied. "Do you think Landon would be mad I went to watch JH race without him?" I asked. "He might darling." Erik replied. "Landon can we talk to you?" I asked. "Yes mommy." He said.

"Do you want to go see grandma Jones?" I asked him. "Yeah grandma." He replied happily. "I'm going to watch JH at the race track while your gone is that ok?" I asked him. "No come with us." He replied. "I can't fly on the plane right now." I told him. "Why?" He asked. "Because it might hurt the babies." I told him. "Oh don't hurt the babies." He said. "No, so you and daddy go see Grandma and maybe you can see me on the TV with JH." I said. "Yeah, can we daddy?" Landon asked Erik. "Sure we can, and we could call mommy and talk to JH." Erik replied. "Yay." Landon replied hugging Erik than me.

That night we went to Joe and Andrea's house to tell them the news. We ate dinner and talked about whatever. "I have some news." I randomly said. "Ok, share." Joe said. "Since everyone is here me and Erik have to tell you guys that I am pregnant." I told everyone. "How do you feel about this?" Joe asked Erik. "Well if it was one baby I wouldn't have acted the way I did, which ended in us fighting and Zoe going to see her mom." Erik replied. "Wait if it was one baby what is Zoey having?" Blair asked. "Twins." I replied. "Two baby second cousins?" Kennedy asked. "Yes two baby second cousins." I replied.

"Landon do you want brothers or sisters?" JH asked. "Yes, play play play." Landon replied. "You can't play with them with your cars until they can walk and they can't walk when they get here or for a while after that." Erik told him. "Why?" He asked. "Because they are too small." I told him. "Oh, ok." He replied. "How do you guys feel?" I asked my family. "Well the twins have come as a surprise, although so did Landon but I am happy you actually have Erik now." Andrea said. "I can't wait to have two more babies to spoil." JH said. "I'm not a baby." Landon said. "Oh you're not?" JH asked. "Babies can't race." Landon said.

"Are you going to race like daddy and me and grandpa and uncle Joe?" JH asked him. "Yeah." Landon replied. "Kennedy and me are happy, we hope you have at least one girl." Blair said. "Yeah, then you wouldn't be in a house full of boys." Kennedy added. "This is great, you need to tell Erik's mom and sister and your dad." Andrea said. "I'm going with JH since he's driving to the tracks and Erik's going to his mom's with Landon." I said. "That's a great way to tell her." Joe said. A little while after we told them the news Erik, Landon and I left. "Well they took that well." I said in the car. "Yeah they did." Erik agreed.

The next day Erik and Landon had to pack so I helped them then the day after I packed to go with JH to his race. "Are you ready to travel?" JH asked walking into the room. I was currently crying. "What's the matter?" He asked. "I-i-i-i don't know." I cried. "Zoey, everything is going to be ok, hey remember when your water broke?" He asked most likely trying to get my mind off of whatever I was crying about. How could I forget a day like that.

"John Hunter." I yelled feeling pain. "What Zoey?" He yelled I could hear him running up the stairs. "It's time." I said before yelling. "For the baby to come?" He asked a panicked look on his face. "Yes for the baby to come." I said before yelling again. "Come on, Andrea put a baby bag by the door in case this happened." He said. "Well get me to the hospital and call your parents." I told him. He drove almost NASCAR speed but I didn't mind much and luckily we didn't get pulled over. "My cousin is pregnant." JH said out of breath. "Is she going into labor?" The nurse asked. My yell answered that question. "Alright come on." She said getting a wheelchair for me.

"Zoey, sorry we wern't home when this happened." Andrea said. "Get this child out of me!" I yelled. "I want my aunt uncle and JH to stay with me." I told the nurse and she allowed them all to stay. My uncle and JH where by my side when I was ready to get the little bugger out of me and Andrea was beside Joe coaching me. About ten hours later I was finally pushing out my baby. "It's a boy." My doctor said. "What's his name?" The nurse asked giving him to me. " Landon John Harris." I told her. "A good name for a handsome baby boy." She said. I looked down at my baby boy and I instantly fell in love with him. "He's perfect." I said before I started crying and the doctor and nurses left us alone.

"JH come here." I said handing him my baby. "He looks like Erik with your hair and eye colour Zo." He said. JH then handed Landon to Andrea and Andrea handed him to Joe. "Where are cousin Blair and cousin Kennedy?" I asked. "Staying with my parents, you go to bed and I'll go get them." Andrea said. Joe and JH left with Andrea and left me to go to bed with Landon in his little crib beside me.

"He looked so innocent." I said smiling at the thought. "He reminded me so much of Erik back then, now he looks like a mix of the both of you." JH said. "How did I get so far?" I asked. "You've been stronger that people would think just looking at you." He replied hugging me. Just then my phone started to ring. "H-h-hello?" I asked still sniffling. "Zoe, what's going on is everything ok?" I heard Erik's voice. "I don't know, but I miss you and Landon." I told him. "Landon come here." I heard Erik say. "Yes daddy?" He asked. "Want to talk to mommy?" Erik asked. "Mommy mommy." He said most likely jumping up and down. "Mommy?" He asked me over the phone. "Hey little monkey are you being good?" I asked smiling. "Yes, I miss you." He said. "I miss you too little monkey." I replied.

After Landon talked to me for a little while about what he was doing with Erik he went to go play and I got to talk to Erik again. "I miss you Erik." I said. "I miss you too babe." He replied. "When are you two coming back?" I asked as JH started to leave. "Wait come back." I said to him. "Who's with you?" Erik asked. "John Hunter, he's here to pick me up to drive to his next race." I told Erik. "Ok, well we will get home the day after you come back with JH." He said. "That's too long."' I told him. "I know baby but it will have to do, when you get back home we can have family cuddles." He said. "That sounds amazing now I can't wait to see you again." I said. "We better get going, it's a long drive, I will call you later babe." I then added. "Alright I love you Zoey." Erik said. "I love you too and tell Landon I love him and I'll see you both in a little while." I said. "I will." He replied before we hung up.
