"So we think you should." John Hunter finished which made me smile. "I wasn't going to do it around now, I was going to do it around Homestead weekend." I told them. "That's a good idea she's going to love it." Joe replied. Joe drove me and Landon home after that. "Mommy can't come home until she wakes up." I told Landon. "Why?" He asked. "Because she can't wake up right now, the doctor gave her medicine so she can sleep and her body can heal itself." I explained. "Oh ok who's with mommy?" He asked. "I think great aunt Andrea is with her with Blair and Kennedy." I told him. "Ok, can we go race?" He asked. "Next week, this weekend we have to stay here for mommy." I told him. "Ok." He said before going off the play.
That night I put Landon to bed then got into my bed which for however long will be lonely. Thinking of Zoey I posted a photo of her and Landon I took a couple weeks ago and posted it with the caption Zo and Lan where driving to the park when a guys breaks werent working and he crashed into them Lan is home with me now but Zos in a coma' everyone who knew her sent hope she gets well soon messages and it made me smile even if I just wanted people to know what happened to her then Joe Gibbs called. "Erik, how is everyone?" He asked. "The two things that are the worst are Landon's broken arm and Zoey's in a coma." I told him. "So the twins are ok?" He asked. "Yeah, Joe Nemechek says they are fighters just like their momma and I think that's true." I replied.
"Yeah keep us updated Erik." He replied before we said bye and hung up. The next day I had to take Landon to the shop with me while we did things and then we went to see Zoey. "Mommy awake?" He asked Andrea. "Not yet Lan." She replied. "Why don't Blair and Kennedy take you to get something to eat." I said and thankfully they agreed. "What are they saying?" I asked sitting where she was since she got up when we walked in and taking Zoey's hand. "It may take a while for her body to fully heal before she comes out of a coma but there's a chance she might not wake up and well, we have to decide on what to do if she doesn't." Andrea replied. "Would they keep her here until after the babies are old enough to survive on their own?" I asked. "We've talked about it and if you want that if it comes down to it." She replied. "Please, I don't want to lose my babies before I get them." I said kissing her hand. For the next week until Wednesday I would take Landon with me to the shop and then to see Zoey in the hospital. "Zoey, we have to go to my next race I wish you could come with us please stay strong." I told her before kissing her forehead. "Andrea." I said loudly. "What what happened?" She asked looking panicked. "She squeezed my hand." I said happy that we are finally seeing something so Andrea called the doctor into the room. "Zoe's other aunt is coming to stay with her while we go." She said before her aunt I've only met when I met my son for the first time came in after the doctor left.
"Erik, you're still in the picture?" She asked surprised to see me. "Of course I am this is our son, and our twins." I replied smiling. "Good, and are you two together?" She asked. "Of course I've loved her since the second I laid my eyes on her." I told her aunt. "Good young man." She replied. "We all better get going." Andrea said. "Yeah come on Landon." I said picking him up. "But mommy." He said. "We have to go so I can race." I told him. "Mommy." He replied. "Franny, I know this is a long shot but I have to race this weekend, could you maybe watch him this weekend?" I asked him. "I think it's best if he goes with you." She replied. "Alright bye." I replied before we left the hospital. "But we have to stay with mommy." Landon said on our way home. "We have to go to the track." I told him. "Ok track." He then said. "Maybe grandma Jones and aunt Lindsey can come stay with us." I said. "Yeah." He replied happy at the thought. "I'll call when we get home." I told him. "Ok daddy." He replied.
We got everything packed and left that night to Texas. "Will mommy be ok?" Landon asked me when we were playing with some of his toys. "Mommy will be just fine bud, it will just take her a little while to wake up." I replied more for me to hear and not him. "I want her to be ok." He told me. "I want her to be ok too, I love her as much as I love you." I told him. "She not leave." He replied. "She will not leave?" I asked him. "Yeah she not leave." He replied. "Why won't she leave?" I asked. "Mommy always watches you." He told me. "Watch me race?" I asked him and he nodded his head yes. "When you didn't know about me." He said. "Did you two watch me race?" I asked him. "Yeah trucks." He replied. "Not just because of JH?" I asked him. "Mommy cheered for you." He replied. "Oh." Was all I said before Daniel came in with William one of the KBM kids I talk to sometimes. "Hey." I said looking at them. "We heard about your lady." Will said. "Yeah I think everyone has." I replied and then Lindsey walked into the living area. "Come on Landon let's go see grandma and go see our other friends." She said before they left. "How is she?" Daniel asked.
"She squeezed my hand before we left and I'm trying to pawn my son off on other people." I told them. "Oh." They both replied. "I can't look at him right now with Zoey in a coma and almost losing the twins and I just don't know what to do." I said before crying.
