The Test Chapter 13

"Alright Zoey, let's get going." Erik said when I got done breakfast. "Where are your mother and sister?" I asked. "At the hospital, they went out to eat before going, I just told them to go so you could sleep, we have a long couple of weeks." He replied. "Ok, when will the other two get there?" I asked. "They are coming at eleven." He replied. "So we have some time with your dad, who will have the DNA test?" I asked. "The doctor will, and he will have them when he goes to check on my dad." He replied. "So everything is figured out?" I asked. "Yeah absolutely everything babe don't worry." He replied. "Ok, good just hopefully the doctor didn't tamper with the test." I said. "Yeah hopefully my actual children need my money." He says. "Actual children?" I asked. "After we get married and have kids, they need our money." He said.

We got to the hospital and went to Erik's dad's room until the doctor finally brought the test and then waited for Hayley and Brian. We went to quickly get a snack and thankfully when we got back the other two were waiting outside of the room. "The doctor brought the results a little while ago and we haven't opened it yet." Erik said to the two. "Alright lets see that Erik is that dad." Hayley said as Erik led me into the room with them following us.

"Dad, you open it." Erik said handing his dad the envelop. "Alright Erik, Brian and Hayley are you three ready?" Dave said as Erik held my hand. "Yes." The three of them said as I started rubbing the back of Erik's hand with my thumb. "Alright Erik and Brian," he said before saying "woah, ok." Everyone looks worried and look at him. "What's the matter?" Erik asked. "Congratulations Erik." Dave says smiling. "What?" Erik asked.

Dave shows Erik and I the paper that had the test results on it. "Bye Hayley hope you have a nice life with you child." Erik says smiling. "What's going on?" She asked as Dave hands me the test and then I hand her the test. Erik picks me up in a hug and spins me around. "That's not our child." He says referring to him and Brian.

"WHAT?" She yelled. "I told the doctor to make sure you were the father." She said shaking her head. "So you paid the doctor to make sure the DNA test said I was the father to trap me with a child who wasn't either of ours?" Erik asked when he put me down. "Yeah, well mostly the money you have." She replied. "Hayley I never liked you, get out of my room." Dave said looking at her. "I always knew you were just after my money I should have broken it off long ago." Erik then said. "Well now I have a huge problem on my hands." Hayley said. "You don't know the father of your baby?" I asked.

"It had to be one of you I didn't sleep with anyone else." She said. "Around what date did you conceive?" Brian asked. "Like about two months ago, at that party I think Dani threw it. "You mean the one where you got so wasted you have no clue what happened?" Brain asked. "The same party both me and Brian left early because I had to go to the track the next day and brought Brian with me?" Erik asked. Her face dropped and I felt bad that everything was coming down around her.

"Well now that's out of the way, I'll see you around I guess it was nice being friends with you." Brain then said. "Why did you say was?" Erik asked. "I slept with Hayley while she was going out with you." He replied. "I don't care I never loved her, I've always liked Zoey." He said. "What?" Hayley asked. "Where you cheating on me with her?" She then asked. "Nope but he was most likely thinking of me every time you two did something together." I replied smiling. Hayley then stomped out of the room mad because she now has to try to find out who the father is with no idea where to start. "I feel bad for her." I said. "Me too." Brian and Erik said before Brain started heading to the door.

"Hey Brian." Erik says stopping him. "Yeah?" He questions. "We good?" He asked. "You aren't mad?" Brian asked. "I never liked Hayley, I was just trying to get over Zoey because of her uncle." He replied shrugging. "Plus I have this little one now." He added hugging me. "Then sure, we are." He replied. They did some handshake thing and Brian left. "I'm happy that girl isn't carrying my first grand baby." Dave said when everything was calm again. "I'm happy Zoey is the only one who's going to carry my babies." Erik replied. "When we are older." I added. "Yeah." He replied. "So when are you leaving and going home?" Dave asked us.

"We have to go tomorrow." Erik replied. "Ok, I hope to see you again." He said to me. "Don't worry you will." I replied. That night we went back to Erik's parents house and fell asleep cuddled up, Erik holding me as close as he could. "Hey, Erik wake up." I said in his ear. "Erik?" I questioned. "Erik Jones wake up." I then said. I couldn't shake him so I tried to roll out of his hold but that didn't work because he just brought me back to his body. "Erik we are going to be late if you don't wake up now." I told him. He still didn't reply so I did the only thing I knew could work at this point, I kissed him and it woke him up.

"I should sleep later more often if that's going to happen." He said looking at me. "It would be my fault you were always late then baby." I replied. "Yeah, I don't want the guys to hate you." He said. "Now that you are up we can go eat." I said. "Yeah we can but wear some shorts." He whispered before getting up. I always end up not wearing pyjama bottoms when I wake up in the morning. "I like it better when it's just us in the RV." I said. "I like it then a lot more too." He replied following me to the kitchen. "What's for breakfast ma?" Erik asked. "Ma?" I questioned. "I don't know." He replied sitting beside where I was standing.

"Erik told me how you liked pancakes so I made some." She said. "Really Erik?" I asked. "I wanted you last day with the family until next time to be fun." He replied and I hugged him then his mom. "It's like the first day all over again." Lindsey said. "Come here future sister in law." I said walking over to her. "Future sister in law?" She asked. "Yeah, someday I'm going to marry Zoey." Erik replied. "Really, you won't find another NASCAR driver's daughter to date?" She asked Erik. "Zoey is the only one, ever since last year." He replied. "What about Hayley?" She questioned. "Joe Nemechek wouldn't let her date a driver so I just tried to get over Zoey but I never could." He replied.

"Never?" I asked. "Never ever Zoe." He replied. I then hugged him and when we pulled away from each other we all sat down and ate. "We are going to miss you while you're gone." Carol told me. "Well I'll be back with Erik." I told her. "I hope soon." She replied before we finished and went to get ready before saying bye to Erik's dad at the hospital and then leaving for the airport.
