"Wendy wasn't kidding when she said everyone had these clothes." Carlin and I are standing in front of the doors to the main room. We walk over to where Carson is sitting, "Look what I found!" I say pointing at Carlin.

"I know I saw her last night when Alice came home." He smiles but it quickly faded. So does mine.

"What's wrong?" I ask looking at Alice who is staring at her food. Neither of them look up, "What's wrong?" I say through gritted teeth.

Alice looks at me with glossy eyes and takes a deep breath, "The fogs are going to start to hit our parents area. The System is trying to wash the Rebels relations out." I just stare at her. "I found out last night when I was getting Carlin. I need to go back soon."

So it is true. My parents, Charlie Carson's parents..they will die if we don't get them out. If we don't get everyone out. "No we need to go now." I throw my plate on the table and run out of the cafeteria.

I have no idea where to go, I need to figure out where the cams are. I stop in front of a guard. "Where are the cams?" I ask in a rush.

"Calm down Alice, I can show you." He starts walking slowly.

"Faster!" I yell. "My sister is Alice. I am not. Show me where the cams are!"

"Yes ma'am" he starts jogging, I join him.

I feel bad for yelling at them. No one has called me Alice since I was a child. And I feel a little to much like I am becoming her. Slowly disappearing until your dead. I don't want to be Alice. I don't want to be anyone. I am me. And that's who I want to be.
"Sorry." I apologize.

"That's fine. The cams aren't far." He picks up pace. I follow his heavy bootstraps down three passages. All gray like the rest of this place. He finally leads me into a large room, full of blinking maps and screens of people. Three women and four men sit at different stations. "Your probably at that station." He points to one of the women and I walk over to her.

"Name?" She asks cold and flat.

"Uh" I say out of breath, "Andy- I mean Annabella. I'm Alice's sister." I twist my fingers together. She looks at me and then types in Alice's full name. She knows everyone. That's one thing I am still learning: everyone knows everyone. A video is put on one of the screens. My neighbor hood. My old one.

"Where?" Cold and flat again.

"The white." Every street has all different colored compounds. Better this way. Easier. I hear four heavy boots and add to my answer, "blue too." The women shakes her blonde hair and taps a few things.

"Andy," I hear Alice. "You don't need to see it.

I feel the fire I my cheeks."See what? My parents? Charlie? Hm?" I shake my head. "Alice I don't want to die. I don't. I know you don't either. I know know they don't either." I point towards Carlin, Burk, and Carson. I don't really know where I'm going with this. "I don't want to see my parents die. I don't. But I would like to see them now. To see if I can keep them from dying. Is that-" I feel the tears. I shove them back into my throat. "Is that okay? Or am I just crazy?"

She stands there for a while. "You're not crazy," she shakes her head. "You're not crazy" she whispers.
