As Shelagh clutched her impossible child everything was perfect. Not even God himself could damage her happiness in that moment. The doctors expected a lot of trouble with the birth but it was perfect, and best of all her friend and husband had been there to help her deliver. Trixie entered the room quietly so as not to disturb the baby, "How are we then?" She whispered softly sitting next to the new mother and her daughter. "Better than ever." Shelagh sighed, beaming at her baby. "Have you thought of a name yet?" The pixie-like nurse asked, standing up and shuffling some notes. "We hadn't decided... But we had joked she'd be named after the first person to hold her, and that's you." Shelagh's soft lilt was serious and warm. Trixie whipped around, eyes wide at the suggestion. "I'm sorry?" Trixie gasped, tears brimming in her eyes. "Beatrix Rose Turner," Shelagh nodded, verifying her child's full name. Trixie could only splutter for a moment. "It's an honour," she managed, sniffling and hugging her friend, "Congratulations!" she whispered into Shelagh's ear. Trixie straightened and regained her composure, "Ah-you have a visitor as well," she remembered. Shelagh wasn't expecting anyone except her husband, whom she had insisted go out on his rounds... "Who?" She asked bewildered, Trixie's lips started curling into a cheeky smile. "Why don't you see for yourself?" she giggled opening the door and calling for the mystery visitor. Trixie turned to Shelagh, wishing her congratulations again, and murmured that she would leave them alone for a while. After Trixie left the room another person took her place, it was Sister Juliene, smiling her usual kind smile although as soon as she saw the child in Shelagh's arms she sighed, her smile growing happier and-- prouder? "My dearest Shelagh! She's beautiful." The sister whispered stepping closer. "What have you named her?" she asked eagerly looking into the new mothers eyes. "Beatrix, after the woman who bought her into this world." Shelagh told her, smiling. Sister Julienne beamed at the name "It's beautiful." She said quietly. "Would you like to hold her?" Shelagh offered gently, sitting herself up against her pillows. "It goes without saying," Sister Julienne nodded, extending her arms to take the baby. All was well.
